C'mon man, you can't honestly state that the amounts given out to SOME players are remotely in the realm of reality. And nnnnoooo, perception is NOT reality in this case. Griffmanjoe: no, not in college athletics, these are supposed to be college student athletes! The next level NFL, CFL or UFL are the pro leagues with professional athletes. What this is is Professional teams and professional players with college jerseys and labels.

Clown show? Perhaps. The portal reveals so much though. For instance, I am struck by those like Van Buren Jr who chose to leave their team with no other QBs (in this case) on the roster, who chose to do so for fear of competition despite the opportunity to learn from someone who is considered to be an expert in his chosen field.
