Just because the portal closes Friday doesn’t mean you can’t sign after. Almost a full week for more to enter. Agents/handlers are and have been having discussions with us and other QB needy programs

Wilfcola: we have a QB on the roster just not a starting SEC QB. Agree we have more work to do but am confident that Kiffin and Weiss have more experience and knowledge than most.

If it is Leavitt, I think it will be LK apologizing to LSU fans. I could be and hope I am wrong, but I have a bad feeling about him, his injury and his brother/and others.

I think the issue with Leavitt, shared by LSU, Miami and Tenn is that he wants the spot held for him til recovered. Each team needs to prepare and start the season with someone else, someone good. This means whichever team gets him will need to either stick with a guy who starts the season, maybe doing well or abandon the guy and deal with the internal and external fall out from that decision.

It’s not ideal that he’d miss spring ball but we did the same with Carson last year. He’s put together quite a season despite not being able to really throw/practice until fall practice in July/august.
From what I understand about leavitt, he should be back by may-ish time frame but we’ll see
