Appreciate it, LE.

Is this your ranking or is this list based on their rankings according to multiple agencies?

He’s very good when healthy. Only question is can he stay healthy

These are mine. I don’t ever look at recruiting sites

You based them on your assessment of most talented or by team or position need?

Stan was pretty upset when the girls voted him the least cute boy in school. Even below Cartman. I wouldn’t put a lot of stock in lists.

That’s the thing. I trust this staff with talent evals and coaching them up. Did I feel the same with the last staff??? Nope

You have Bah too low. Some of these mid major transfers still turn some heads.

Also Dilin Jones is a beast. He will be one to watch

Jayce Brown feels kinda low huh?
Right? Who’s ranking this? That’s insane!

Seems damn low for Jayce B and Malik Elzy
And Tre Wilson.
He was injured much of 2025… But this kid plays like Antonio Brown from the Steelers. He is sudden in his breaks, makes hard catches, and rarely caught from behind.
There is a reason he was a five star coming out of high school.

Please do not take this as me hating on Tre Wilson. This is just informational.
Tre Wilson, in 3 seasons at Florida, had an ADOT of 4.7. This means the average depth of the passes thrown to him, were on average, 4.7yds.
Let's use some data from LSU 2024 to better understand this number:
Chris Hilton ADOT 26.7 yds
Kyren Lacey ADOT 14.7yds
Zavion Thomas ADOT 10.8yds
CJ Daniels ADOT 10.5yds
Aaron Anderson ADOT 9.6yds
TreyDez ADOT 9.1yds
Mason Taylor ADOT 8.6yds
Understandably this is sometimes the function of the offense, however, a lot of the time it is married to the skillset of the player and his abilities.
82% of his targets come within 9yds of the LOS, with 44% of those coming behind the LOS.
Antonio Brown being one of the best route runners in the history of the world makes this a weird comparison.

Write out all the pass catchers on the team and then do some math:
quote:
On an average Lane Kiffin offense, there will be approx 285 catches made by WR, RB and TE.
Kiffin's WR's rotations seem to have a pattern while at Ole Miss, and that is to not rotate much at all.
This year he played 5 WRs, but in years past, as low as 3 WR. Some years, 4WR + TE were heavily involved. With the players he has in place now, I'd expect a rotation of 5-6 guys, (including Green at WR)
Trey'Dez Green
Jackson Harris
Tre Brown
Winston Watkins
Jayce Brown
Tre Wilson
Roman Mothershed
Tyree Holloway
Josh Jackson
Malik Elzy
Phillip Wright
Jabari Mack
Corey Barber
Brayden Allen
Harlem Berry
Caden Durham
Dilin Jones
Rod Gainey
Stacy Gage
Ray Guillory
Malachi Thomas
Zach Grace
JD Lafleuer
JC Anderson

With this understood, lets do a little math and start with the returning players:
Between Trey'Dez Green and Harlem Berry, how many catches do you think they should have?
-Me, I'd like to see close to 100 between them. So lets be conservative and say between Green + all the RBs, they catch 100 balls.
Lets say the rest of the TE's catch another 25 combined. Then another 25 catches for inconsequential catches (garbage time, trick plays, etc)
-285-150 = 135 catches to go around to the actual rotational WRs. Choose 5 guys and spread these catches amongst them. What do you have?

Lester, thanks for sharing your observations. This kind of stuff is why I like to visit. I've lived in Michigan 20 years now but I'm still a big LSU fan (and year to year only know about 2 to 3 Michigan players by name - even in the NC year). I'm grateful for folks who put in the time watching videos, maybe seeing some of the players in person, and sharing what they think, even if their analysis is not exhaustive. Often I find more useful information coming from what folks like you do and others like iPad than I do from national services (which I still read for info).

Thanks LE - as always excellent info. Thoughts on DLINE / LB starters?

No problem, man
I’ve updated the graphic with PFF grades.
I also moved Jayce Brown and Scott Starzyk up in my rankings
