Finally someone who gets the crux of the point
Cam Newton is a guy you break rules over, you withstand lawsuits and bad press for. He was superhuman in college and probably the most physically dominant QB ever. He dragged a very mediocre team to a national title singlehandedly. He was the definition of a game changer who guaranteed a championship.
Demond is not that.
He didn’t look anything close to special vs the actual title contenders. He’s not even close to the same class. And as a result I think it’s better to go after a Lagway or Leavitt who doesn’t have those headaches and uncertainty over eligibility/legality.

We have the guy that just recently made Jakson Dart into a first rd qb and now developed a complete unknown into one of the best QBs in country saying he thinks williams is a good talent and is aggressively going after him

You're missing other variables here
1. His team was not as talented as it should be around him
2. He's younger with plenty of opportunity for extra growth

This is the same for every qb, the difference in Williams,Sorsby and Leavett is Williams was facing the much better competition. Leavett and especially Sorsby had really bad games against really bad competition.
