basically the breakdown I got.....Mathis wanted the ability to come home one day, hit up a public park with some illegal firearms, smoke a little weed, and get away with it. The only way to do that in Monroe is to go to Bama. I get it

I'll never understand how you can be a Louisiana kid and go to Bama. I hear the "Bama always beats LSU" but I would see that as more fuel to try and beat those guys. The Championship appeal is just too strong.

It's tough to stomach, but Alabama still has a very good stronghold on Monroe talent. Lawrence was kind of the exception to the rule over the last 5 or so years. In fact, it's to the point where you're more surprised when a big talent out of Monroe chooses anyone but Alabama. It's the weakest spot in the state for LSU

In this case Mathis is more comfortable at bama for lifestyle reasons.

i cant figure out if the CB thing is good or bad, on one head it gives us a good idea of what to expect and prevents serious melts on here, on the other it completely spoils the element of surprise.
