Thug U is going to lose major schollys & should face at least 2 yrs of no post season games. Hopefully all this will play out before NSD in Feb.

I highly doubt LSU is not talking with one of the top defensive ends in the country (when we need a bunch) who plays in our backyard. If we haven't backed off Nkemdiche, not a chance in hell we've backed off Williams.

Miami is probably going to get what USC got, if not worse, and should be getting it fairly shortly. Doesn't seem like it will effect this current season unless they drop the hammer within this month, which would actually play into our favor because it would affect Williams more
Sidenote, I'm very surprised we haven't gotten a Mathiueu-inspired recruiting thread yet unless the Admins have been on the ball and I've just missed them

Willis' situation is certainly understandable. We're still in the driver's seat imo.
Williams is pandering imo. No way we're not contacting him. He's the top guy on the board according to everyone. No way they're all lying. LSU until he signs elsewhere.

Anyhow the point is the same, I bet the quote was taken out of context. I am sure LSU guys were there and Miami may have been the only OOS school there. I find it really hard to believe a team with 2-3 LSU targets in a major scrimmage doesn't have at least a GA in attendance.

It probably wasn't. A staff can only go see a player once during the Spring, so it isn't a stretch to think the guy that went twice was the exception and not the rule.

Williams, IMO, is stretching this till NSD. Maybe he wants some Nkemdiche type press. Is he one of these "being an LSU fan is not cool" kids? Don't tell me he wants to go to Da U. There is NO U. Not anymore. Never will be again. That was their pinnacle. Da U will never come back. So, u wanna play for a mediocre program, in a mediocre conference, with mediocre facilities, that stays under the NCAA microscope? You're on a high school campus that sits at the feet of greatness. Have fun in the Sun Bowl.

I'll keep on saying. He did not grow up an LSU fan, and we'll have to recruit our arses off to keep him on campus. Interestingly, he said this week that coaches are telling him he's looking at playing LB in college. That was a little shocking to me. This week is the first time I've heard this. Another jack linebacker for the Gumps? Apparently as far as colleges go, he's talking about ThugU and FSU a lot.
