Also doesn’t help that Fisch & Williams had the same representation as well.
Bingo - why was it necessary for Williams to sign the MOU before they tested the market? Kid got $hitty advice and agency now trying to cover their tracks before collusion allegations emerge.

Coach was definitely using their agent as a proxy, I'm sure people on the other end of the stick told Desmond something was wrong with this setup.

My goat Drew Brees was “5’11 (generous)” we really gotta drop this notion that because a qb isn’t 6 foot they are not going to be good

Does this guy also represent Jedd Fisch? Is it possible he was sandbagging offers for Williams on Fisch's behalf to get him to re-sign, and the kid found out?

Philosophical differences...does this mean representing a head coach and player for the same school, when the future success, employment and upward mobility of that coach to move to a bigger paying program is dependent on that coaches ability to minimize the money his program pays players, to ensure he can spread the money around to field a team who can win and thus increase the chances of your hc client getting raises and better jobs worth far more that what a short-term player gets, thus getting you better long term commissions? Meaning, you have very little interest in truly maximizing the players money at UW, because to do that would mean that UW has less money to spread around to field a complete team capable of winning and increasing the long term financial outlook for hc client and thus yourself, to the detriment of your player client. F this guy.

It’s so ironic when these scum bag agents try to play the ethics card.

Guess he’ll have to find someone else to take a 20% cut of a deal he already has coming his way. Poor kid

I wonder who made this graphic.
His new agent that doesn't have a blatant conflict of interest maybe?

Meh. The agent repping both sides is a bit of a red flag. He clearly didn’t do his best to get Eilliams the best deal possible. I don’t blame the kid for cutting him out because the “agent” and his actions were both shady.
That said, you’ve been a real pussy about this whole situation. I’m very vocal in my hate for the transfer portal and how it’s governed, but you’re on a real meltdown over it. Take a breath.

Plus the fact that I am sure he was getting calls before Washington decided to sign Williams to another contract and I bet this guy never told him. But I sure bet he told his other client the Coach.

Doug, you can do what you want but that tweet is some serious virtue signaling.

Have you seen what details have been released about these Big Ten template contracts are? They are total shite for the players and include language that is impermissible by NCAA bylaws much less potentially illegal.
Yeah, no way this agent was doing what was in the best interest of the kid and not his other client(s).

The NCAA has a lot to work through, but having agents repping players and coaches is a huge issue. The agent can’t properly represent both parties.

Exactly. That is the crux of the issue here that many in the media are ignoring. I know that Nuss had the same agent as Kelly, and perhaps that messed up things this season for him as well. We don't know the details of those contracts.

think this is the big key here. Fisch was one foot out the door to Michigan, bet he would rather stay with Fisch long term whenever he makes his move away from UW. he probably stands to make more money on fisch's move than Williams.
all that being said, putting out a statement like that doesn't help the agent at all, id imagine UW is gonna ask Fisch to find new representation

an agent running to Twitter to announce something like this? seems clownish.

Yellow Flag No. 1 for this guy. Buyer Beware.
