Did Lagway really only have 1 rushing TD??? Holy shite, that's wild if true. DO NOT WANT

Yes. But he wasn’t used right. He needs to be a run-to-open-pass QB

Landen Clark would win the heisman here

Lagway at LSU = Tim Tebow 2.0

So insightful. As usual you provide zero substance. Why are you on a discussion board if the last thing you want is a discussion?

Get Leavitt and Deuce
I wouldn't mind Leavitt at all if we got Deuce to go along with him. With Leavitt and his injury, you definitely need a worthwhile QB to come with him.

Marcus Stokes was singing along with a "song" on his car radio and said the same lyrics as the rap performer. He gets his scholarship withdrawn but the rapper makes money broadcasting that same word repeatedly over the airwaves. That makes sense. However, I can justify his losing a scholarship for this atrocious taste in rap "music."

Leavitt is supposed to be visiting LSU right now. No idea if he's actually here. Landen Clark has a scheduled visit with LSU on January 9.

Lagway looked incredible last year down the stretch. Not so much this year, but there were a lot of issues with the gators this year and most were out of his control. I think Kiffin could make him elite.

We need Air Noland for his name alone

He's not even worth as a backup, he was 4th string at South Carolina this year as a 2nd year player behind a 3-star true freshman.

Leavitt is pretty damn talented when healthy, so yes, I'm ok with him missing spring. Spring ball is incredibly overrated now

I'd normally agree but you have a whole new team, new system, all new WRs and basically OL too. That's a lot of "new" and I'm not sure how you see what you have in an offense without your QB going through the install, build chemistry with new WRs, etc.

But Lane gets great QB play most years so we have that going for us to mitigate some of the obvious risks here. Is it even guaranteed Leavitt will be back to 100% ready to roll by fall camp?

Just to note

Landen Clark is a 57% passer in the Coastal Athletic Conference. He has tools obviously, but you cannot expect him to jump into the SEC and become a great passer all of a sudden.

Lagway has SEC experience as well. If the price is right, he is a no brainer pickup if you are taking multiple QBs

I think if you ink Leavitt, you have a solid opportunity to draw a better QB2. You can pitch him on having the spring to compete, and given Leavitts injury, potentially having a strong opportunity to see snaps in 2026.

The Chambliss model has to be what they're thinking here most likely, but that requires you to feel good about someone like that who is also willing to come in knowing they're #2, maybe like the Elon kid

Do they feel good enough about someone out there to go this route?

Either way, it is sure a lot of "new" for LSU and Lane to manage, and not having your QB until the fall seems pretty risky

This is where someone like Lane/Weis earn their $$ - develop a system that works until he finds a comfort level.

Saban did this well too

To be fair, Chamblis was a 61% passer at DII Ferris St in 24' and had 7 games sub 60% in completion against much lower competition.

Clark was a true FR as well. Chamblis is obviously an anomaly though, but who knows, maybe Clark is too.
