If tweet fails to load, click here. UVA also signed Ex-Missouri QB Beau Pribula earlier this week.
Stuffed in locker for Leavitt AND double stuffed by a mid-pack ACC team.

Walker Howard?
I only slightly kid.

Strange decision for those 2 QBs. You’d think 1 would be looking for a definite starting job.

I don’t think he is a scheme fit. Vols have talent just no experience.

Theyd be dumb not to throw 2-2.5m to Husan Longstreet

Said yesterday standing up to Nico hasn't worked out. Aguilar in his 7th year of college wasn't better than Nico would've been and it was a one year rental since he's probably not getting an 8th. 4 mil for Nico was a bargain if they can't get Leavitt to take that.

I think they’re trying to get in the mix, which sucks for us. They have a legit best player wins situation right now.

You're correct, they are dumb. frick Tennessee. I hope they go home empty handed.

Exactly. The backups are studs on paper. There are gonna be years when teams have to let their bluechips develop & grow with each game. If an experienced "vet" like Leavitt hadn't signed at LSU, I was comfortable seeing what Lane could do with pups like Longstreet & Clark this upcoming season.
Unless Heupel knows something we don't know about his QB room, this is the perfect time to save some dough and give one of his young redshirt 5-stars the helm. I'd rather not spend $$$ on a mediocre Pribula type vet and waste developing my bluechips who might just hit the portal bc of it.

I see what you're coming from, but Heupel needs playoffs, and likely a playoff win or his tenure there becomes stagnant. He doesn't have enough goodwill for a mediocre type season if the QB play is meh.

You hate to see it for Tristen Keys.

How old is Holstein? Gotta have a wife and three kids by now.

If Heupel goes like 7-5 with another asswhupping from Vandy because he's developing youngsters he's gonna get run off.

starting to wonder if Heupel's scheme doesn't translate well to the NFL for QBs and that's why they are missing.

Understandable. So that would mean a youngster like Longstreet is out for the Vols, right? I hope so.

It wouldn't make much sense unless they just want another body or they're down on McIntyre.

Where do yall come up with this? He was a 5th year senior this year. He’s asking for a 6th year based on the “Pavia rule.” Aguilar spent his first 2 years (2021-22) in Juco. He spent 2023-24 at App St. he was at Tennessee this year.
Yes, he went to community college for 2 years and didn't play football. He didn't play at all his "freshman" year and his school didn't have a football team in 2020. He considered quitting school and getting a job before enrolling at a JUCO and starting his playing career.
