This is the best way to view her. Not sure she is ready to be a starting center and play 30 minutes. She struggles on defense with more athletic bigs. I like the upside of the pickup though, the ADR experiment just hasn't worked.

Nice signing. She can be what ADR is not. But make no mistake, it will be a huge failure if we can’t land Serah Williams.

If you look at it per minute they played, she is an upgrade in blocks and assists from ADR & Jersey, equal in rebounds to Jersey and behind ADR, and not as good of a scorer as either though the difference is not that significant. But she is a freshman so

She wouldn’t get off the bench at Carolina. We need to do better. If your players aren’t as good as Carolina’s then don’t expect better results. Last year’s portal haul was terrible. None of those girls would be offered by Staley. It’s got to get better. Replacing Morrow and Smith with marginal players like Koval will not bode well for next season. Hoping Kim lands some players that could start for anyone.

Go look at who's in the portal and find who you think would start for Carolina. We can't force Betts into the portal to transfer to us. Signing a recent top 10 recruit in a position of need, that's an obvious upgrade over what we have, makes a ton of sense. They're after Williams, not really sure what alchemy you think they can do beyond going after what's available.

Multiple top 10 teams reached out to Koval when she entered the portal. Sure she still has to get better but a lot of bigs are raw as freshmen. Go back and watch Betts when she was a true freshman
They’ll definitely be adding more than just Koval inside. They wanted to get much bigger inside

After watching her film on here, you have to admit that she has good hands. She can catch passes and rebound with either hand. She can shoot around the goal with either and has a quick drop step move on the left side. She has the ability to alter shots and eats up space. I think that her conditioning can improve; this should also increase her quickness. She is already a major upgrade over what we had returning, and I think she has the potential to improve.
