THEY know it isn't you.

and don't forget about Todd Graves being a billionaire backing LSU

When lsu doesn’t get a commitment from someone it’s always “they can’t compete with NIL!! Ermagherd!!!”
I get the point but to be fair every fanbase in America uses this excuse. Texas is the richest program in the country and complain about being poor when they miss. It's societal not LSU centric.
The truth is, sometimes it is money. Not the lack of it but the unwillingness to part with it. We never know the reasoning and it confuses us so we just blanket it all to money or lack there of.

We”?
Yes. We. I was a season ticket holder for decades. I donate a modest amount every year to Bayou Traditions and my parents donate for a scholarship in their name every year. STFU.
This is not the zinger you think it is and people like you are annoying with the “wE?!?11?1” shite. You assume everyone else is as poor and stingy with their money towards LSU as you are.

in the age of NIL?
The "age" has just begun and where its going is anyone's guess. Good or bad.
For myself I am going to enjoy while it last.

Actually, its all sports. Football at LSU pays the bills & the administration knows football can not fall behind.

Since the 90’s, and especially the 2000’s…. LSU finds a way to ensure its football program competes not only on the field but competes at a high-end when it comes to resources/money.
That has not changed and won’t be changing anytime soon. LSU is committed to being a Top10 football program and will do what it takes to continue being committed. Making the decision to do that is the hardest part, and we did that a LONG time ago, regardless of the landscape changing.

It definitely helps having a President and an AD who are committed and on the same page. I shudder to think where LSU would be if they had entered the NIL era with FKing and Alleva at the helm.

Remember too that BK has a very methodical approach to everything he does, so NIL will be no different.
It also helps when you don’t have a convicted felon running your schedule.

LSU has been a top tier cheating school long before NlL so I’m not sure why everyone assumed the status quo wasn’t going to continue.
The amount of times I’ve seen athletes post game going to Lauberge to pick up chips left for them.

Can LSU structurally compete consistently in the age of NIL?
LSU has been paying players in some fashion for decades. Dudes were driving tricked out vehicles in the 2000s and 2010s. They didn’t buy those themselves.
I’d imagine it was fewer people involved previously in the inner circle of facilitating that. Now there are literally entities created to facilitate the average Joe contributing to NIL which I’d assume makes the pool way bigger. I don’t get why people are in here crying about LSU being poor when we have top rated recruits from OOS committed. That doesn't happen because of Livvy Dunne’s gram presence or Vuori ads or because of us winning some mid tier bowl game. It’s because of our ability to compete in the NIL era

If Harris can raise $49 mil in 3 hours, I think we can raise $1.3 mil.

Why is it that On3 lists Dacorian at $599K where others are listed as "undisclosed"? LINK
I'm wondering whether the $1.3 thrown about is true or a rumor that went "viral" with the panic stricken(?).
With revenue sharing and no more "football underwriting the University for +/- $30 million a year, the school will have to raise tuitions (just as has happened at pretty much every public university in the country).
