That's my problem with this currently. Oregon might not be dumping an open checkbook right now because they might not know Moore's intentions yet. By him declaring for the draft then all of sudden the make Leavitt a bigger priority and you don't want to get into a bidding war with them. You don't let him leave campus without a deal and end it while you have an advantage. If you can't, then it tells you that he's only using us as leverage for those 2.

been said repeatedly that he’s waiting to see what happens at Oregon and Miami.

If that's the case, move on

this.. we cannot afford to wait around to see if he wants to be here or somewhere else...

if he doesn't commit today, you have to move on to the next option, whether that's Raiola, Knight, Pribula, Colandrea, etc... you cannot afford to have those other options grab a spot, only to have you with absolutely nobody, and no, that Elon kid is not starting caliber... if that's the best we can do, we should have just kept MVB

I think this is the only guy I've ever seen in the NFL throw himself a TD pass. He really did do this too.

He still getting offers, can’t go with a low offer, got to leverage to get higher offer.

Two at Miami (same as LSU); Vinny Testaverde 1986 and Gino Torreta 1992
One at Oregon: Marcus Mariota 2014

You have to be prepared for that by having a Plan B. If you give an ultimatum, you invite him to say no and then you’re stuck. We don’t have the leverage.

Oregon also produced Justin Herbert who wasn’t a heisman but is a successful NFL QB. And Miami just had the #1 QB draft pick.

Thought this kid was all in and supposed to commit last night. Let me guess “Portal Lane” frickin struck out.

You seriously need a break from the Internet. All most all of your posts are whining and complaining and all of your takes are wrong.

Right, and remember, we need TWO QB's in the portal. The best option might be to get a "B" type QB, not a "A" to start and a "C" type QB to come in as a back up, but knowing he will have every chance in the spring to win the job.

I have confidence that Lane can make that B type QB an A and make that C type QB a B. I don't have confidence that Lane can heal an injured QB.

We can't spend everything on an "injured" "A" QB. Remember, we bascially need 5 starting OL in the portal (plus a couple of backups), and we need RB's and WR's also.

If Levitt signs, fine, but we still need another QB.

I’m sure medical staff is evaluating extent of injury and probable recovery time. There’s a lot of money riding on this, not just his NIL contract.

We are probably taking 3 since we currently have 0 on scholarship.
