Everyone should be patient. We have true froshes playing heavy minutes and little post depth. This is our first serious test. We should win, but it may be closer than some casual fans would like. I really hope there's no morons bashing the players in the thread if we don't beat them down by 30.

The line on this one is moving all over the place. Started at 5.5 and moved up to 7 before dropping back down to 5.5...

You always see a lot of "strange" results early in the college basketball season. UNI over #1 UNC? I don't think Marquette is as bad a team as everyone thinks they are (at least maybe LSU fans think they are). The line is ~6 points. That's in a game where one team is 1-2 on the year and the other is 3-0 with the #1 player in the country. The bottom line is that we don't know how good LSU is. We won't know how good they are after this game either because they are still missing two guys who will be big contributors for this team.
I'll be disappointed if they go 0-2 in Brooklyn
1-1 is more realistic and 2-0 wouldn't be a shock.

0-2 would be tough to swallow. This team is still missing 40% of their starters so I won't cry the sky is falling, but I would be disappointed.

Ohhhhhh BROTHERS!!! It's a crisp and cold night in the big apple. I'm wading my way through thousands of New York pedestrians trying to get home from work...but not me. For I am going to see the one they call....Benny. He is no mere mortal, mind you. But a wonder kid that will lead these Tigers to heights not seen in years. My body....it's ready. Looks like I'll be sitting in front of Marquette's bench lol

I'm here watching warm ups with my kids. What a treat to be able to travel to NYC and see our team play! Geaux Tigers!
