2003 and 2001 were tops.

2011 was also really damn good until 1/9/12. We destroyed every team except GOTC1.

2007 was not enjoyable. Too many stressful games, and that feeling after the Arkansas game was pretty damn miserable.

Without a doubt it was 2011 for me. Even though I was a student, instead of getting slammed before every game I would take advantage of general admission. I had amazing seats the entire year, and watched us dismantle anyone that tried to step on the field with us. People can look back on that season with negativity, but it was a fun year.

I'll agree with 2001. The highlight of that year to me was beating Tenn in the SECCG. That team had heart and guts in spades, and it was a real pleasure to watch.

I loved the 2001 CCG. The media kept drumming up the imminent Canes/UT matchup and eventually Fulmer got caught up in that also. Afterwards "Well, we didn't tackle very well, block very well, pass very well..." Yeah, that's called getting beat Phil.

Also the Arkansas game that year was crazy go nuts. I think it was 41-38 LSU. Matt Jones for Arky had 3 or 4 big runs. LSU took the lead and then Saban let Rohan pass a couple of times to get first downs and run the clock out. After the Ole Miss loss he let Jimbo unleash Rohan to Reed and they literally couldn't be stopped. Didnt hurt having LT and DD running it as well.

Still say the 2001 SEC Champ game was the most fun I've ever had at an LSU game. Things are just different now. In some ways it was kind of fun when the expectations weren't so high.

And who can forget all the Tennessee fans with orange roses. They were strewn all over the floor of the Georgia Dome after the game.

Agreed. If you recall, back in 2001 the SEC West was insane, during preseason you could make a solid argument for each team winning the west.

But after losing to Ole Miss, did anyone expect us win the SEC, and win the Sugar Bowl? I agree, it was the most enjoyable season. Of course, it was my senior year at LSU so I might be biased.

2011 easily.

I had a better time at the 2001 SECCG than I did against Oregon in Dallas but 2011 had so many bad arse wins. Greatest regular season I've seen.

Might not be a popular pick, but give me 2007. So many ups and downs. But the downs were always followed by amazing highs (like watching Pitt beat WVU and everything fall into place). The Florida and Auburn games that year send it over the top. Not to mention the SEC and National Titles.

And all Glenn Dorsey had to do was turn around, raise one hand, do a little flick of the wrist, and the entire stadium was on its feet screaming. Will never forget that.

This. We were completely looked over by everyone in this one. The national media crowned UT the Sec champs weeks before the game. Made the win that much sweeter.

Someone brought up the orange roses and I laughed my arse off seeing em all over the ground after the game.

When Rohan went down, The UT fans around us taunted the frick out of us saying we were about to get blown out.

And then, this...........

I think 2003 was the best. We didn't expect to be a champion, so the 1 loss wasn't the end of the world. The atmosphere at the UGA game is something I'll never forget.

This.

2003 Georgia was the turning point of the program. The day we all started to believe. The day we went from very good to elite.

2001 - Most Enjoyable Season

Excluding the results of the 2003 and 2007 seasons, 2001 has to be the most enjoyable LSU season I can remember.

We also beat the hell out of the GumpNecks as Rohan to Reed put on a show.
And TGBFTL beating up Duval was pure gold too.

2011 was the best, most memorable. The year of the Honeybadger. Jarrett Lee getting Redemption, Miles getting the team fired up, beating everyone by 30..

That game was over when Clausen got clocked on a blitz up the middle in the first quarter. He got real squirrely and threw off his back foot the rest of the night. I can't remember who got him.
