Lionel Turner did have a pick 6 though in the SECCG. The 2003 and 2011 defenses scored so many TDs it was insane.

Texas, OU were teams of the 50s, 60s, 70s, and tapered off in the 80s. 0 Nati's in last 19 years. 2 Nati's in last 39 years btwn them. Basically, when college football teams started integration, the demographic differences between Texas and Oklahoma vs Louisiana, Alabama, and Georgia became very apparent.

I was there and it was my very first LSU game. Second was SEC championship against TN in 07. Third was natty against Ohio State 07.

I live around and have a bunch of OU fans. They still hate LSU because of 2003 and complain about how terribly they were treated by the Louisianans for 3 days on Bourbon St. All the there was a grandma who spit on me bullshite.
I had a guy tell me one time, OU would have won that game, they just ran out of time, haha.

We should have never had to punt to begin with. I’ve never seen officials rush to spot a ball so quickly and start the play clock. We got it back with 1:51 left. 111 seconds. Under today’s rules with the auto 40 second play clock, the game clock would have run out after 3rd down.

i was there also. we coulda put it away 28-7 in the 3rd and penalties screwed us and let them stay in game. also fumble on the 1 on opening drive cost us 7 points.
that game was one of the most nerve wracking LSU games i have ever attended. defense was dominant and had so many huge stops especially on 4th down with the game on the line.
