Is it true that LSU baseball players didn’t have the sportsmanship or decency to shake hands after the game?
Oh look, more deflection

Funny how UL using “Louisiana” offends you more than it affects you.
First, last night was a good win for your team. The team played well and the pitching looked pretty good. Congrats.
Second, it doesn't offend me, but It doesn't make any sense. ULL isn't the only school in UL system. ULM should be called Louisiana too then. So in a short paragraph explain why ULL gets to be "Louisiana" instead ULM.
Honestly, It would make a lot more sense to be called the Ragin Cajuns or just Cajuns. That's very unique and identifiable. Maybe even Lafayette. It's a great town and where my mother is from.
On a side note, my father went there back when it was called SLI. It was called something different before that. Then it became USL. Then it's ULL. ULL wasn't good enough so now it's Louisiana. I guess it doesn't matter. You will probably insist on being called something else in a few more years anyway.

ULM agreed that UL could use Louisiana, and ULM chose to brand itself as ULM. When both schools updated their identities, UL (L) pursued the Louisiana athletic brand, while ULM explicitly opted to keep the ULM name and mark. Because of that decision, national outlets like ESPN, CBS, and the NCAA adopted Louisiana for UL (L) and ULM for Monroe. That’s why the scorebugs look the way they do today each school is labeled according to the identity it selected.

We have our own identity hence the Acadian flag.
Another one of those Lafayetteisms; people from that area think they have some special exclusive understanding and hold on the Acadians and their culture. They think they are the only Acadians in south Louisiana and are somehow the keepers of what is Louisiana, hence trying to claim the name of the entire state.

This is the origin of the flag and the term Acadiana
The flag of Acadiana was designed in 1965 by Dr. Thomas Arceneaux to promote Cajun heritage, featuring a gold star (Our Lady of Assumption), silver tower (Spain), and fleur-de-lis (France). The term "Acadiana" originated from a 1963 KATC-TV3 typo that added an 'a' to "Acadian".

I already know all of that. Why insist on "Louisiana" when other names are more suitable and unique?

We like Louisiana! You do not have to like it take if up with the administration at UL (L).
ULM does not have a problem why should you?

As Quebec is to Canada, Acadians are to the rest of Louisiana. Not much love between them.
In fact we call people in the rest of Louisiana and the US « Les Americans ».

No, it's because you play second fiddle to Louisiana State University and the administration some how believes that by insisting on being called "Louisiana" that removes the school from the huge shadow cast by LSU.
Personally I believe TSiA, That School in Acadiana, is a good school. My father went there for undergrad. I have friends and other family members that went there but it will never be what LSU is on a national level. Sorry lil bro.

No sir. Ask their student body. They absolutely hate LSU and have no reason too.
