or run a real wildcat. trindon is the PERFECT guy for the sweep part of the play

shep looks to be as explosive as advertised. he's our 1 true gamebreaker running the ball (b/c he's a lot quicker than keiland)

NO. It's a pass up to this point. It'll = fail when a team gets more film on us and finds out we throw out of that formation 1 out of 20 times.

Wild Tiger? Stack the box.

if we finally run a real wildcat and shep scores a long TD against UGA the rant will be silent while everyone cleans off their keyboards

at some point soon, crowton/miles are going to have to decide on who we are on offense. if they make the right choice, and make the right calls, we should put up a lot of points. the wrong choice can lead to more vandy/ULL games

I think Crowton is bringing JJ along slowly. Not throwing too much at him too quick-( maybe lesson learned from last year and JL!)

The play book will expand against the dogs.

Lets not forget the age of our QB! He has a lot to learn and is progressing.

Needs to work on timing of the deep throw but Crowton knows that

our OL sucks. interior can't push the pile.

i wonder why that is? i hope they're just not playing up to their potential at the moment...i'd sure as hell hate to think that ULL's D-line is better than our O-line.

All I know is, if we don't try an option with Shep and Trindon, that is a total waste. I can't imagine being a defender and seeing that combo coming at me.

Nice post SFP.

After 3 games, I don't know what kind of team this is.
I think we gutted out a W in Wash, even though we got outplayed.
I think we slushed out one against Vandy, but didn't play that well.
I think we did what we had to against ULL, but again didn't really impress.

My biggest concern by far is the OL. They have really looked bad so far. Hopefully, it's a work in progess and will get better.
I agree the offense needs an identity, quickly.

JJ isn't there yet. we're throwing 3-4 offenses at him, and we have no rhythm or overall philsophy. his deep ball is not close to being remotely reliable. he is showing to have improved as a runner, and will step up against the rush to get positive yards

This is the main issue and I don't know why everyone keeps complaining about the offense when the main problem has been staring them in the face since the second game.

+1

our offense is schizophrenic right now.

we aren't really sure what we're trying to do.

This is a good post!!!

There are some positives and of course negatives, which do a good job of explaining the reality of were the team is at the moment.

one of your smarter posts.

we are feeling out what works and what doesn't, while getting JJ the reps he needs.

the o-line needs to protect better, and open more holes.

this is a different team than years past, for sure.

they aren't going to beat any team 50-0

this is a ball control team, with a good defense at this point.

they are WAAAAY better coached than years past.
