I was trying to see any rationale in your opening post, giving the benefit of the doubt you know, but the Utah/Bama ref just proved you have no fricking clue what you are talking about. Trust me UW is NO where nor have they been in 20 years as good as Utah was last year.. Come back after your beat down please.

If anything, I thought that 5 losses last year would have at least instilled a sense of humility in some of you.

Okay, I've tried to be nice, respectful, very "Bear" Bryant-like in my dealings with UW fans. But, you're having trouble with reality so - here goes:

Even if we consider them linear, our 5 losses, as you say, should give us about, what, 41% of the humility that the "Looskies" had "instilled" (if that's even fair to describe 12) in you. Further there's a good argument that wins and losses shouldn't be on a linear scale, but a bell, especially when you consider the vast hordes of teams between 8-5 where LSU finished, and 5-7 where, say Arizona finished (a team that beat Washington 48-14).

Now, normally with a bell curve distribution like this, with some variances, for every 10-2 team, there is a 2-10, and so on. Now, with conference championship games, teams varying between 11 and 12 regular season games, bowls, etc., this isn't strictly possible. However, for the 2008 season, there was NO team that could be as good as the Huskies were bad. No team could match with success, the failure of the winless University of Washington team. Outstanding accomplishment!

Can you please get some of your friends or other UW fans to post on here so we can talk some trash during the next week. We have been waiting for ya'll and it will make the week go by faster. Now to address your posts. If your attitude is any indication of how your team feels about their chances, I like ours even more. In the last month or so I watched your end of the season 2007 game against Hawaii, and your 2008 games against BYU and Stanford. You went toe to toe with Hawaii, lost and then Hawaii got their arse handed to them by Georgia a few weeks later. You went toe to toe with the white boys of BYU and lost because Folk is HORRIBLE. You were manhandled by two baton rouge running backs from Stanford who didn't even get serious consideration for scholarship offers from LSU. In that game and the BYU game I noticed that UW is REAL SOFT. One of those BR boys knocked your starting MLB out of the game. Wait til he has to tackle Truck the Truck. You have some good WR's and J. Polk is fast, but your o and d-lines suck. Your special teams suck. Nate Williams is the only player in those three games that I saw laying any wood on anybody. Good Luck, i am predicting a demoralizing defeat. Hopefully, this year's UW team has a short term memory and that new attitude Sarkisian is instilling will help them move on.

I am not overlooking UW and neither is LSU.

It's a new season and UW is a new team with a new coach and a renewed QB. This won't be walk in the park, but I have LSU on top.

31-14 LSU. Tigers get a late TD.

I've never been much for predicting games and when I do I'm very conservative.

Not trying to be a smart arse at all, but what's your call for the score of the game?

Sounds about right. I have LSU 38-17. UDub has a new offense, LSU has a new defense, plus JJ needs more experience before declaring him savior of the program.

you are right, anything is possible. but my feelings on this game are: im 99.99% sure that there will be an epic beatdown of biblical porportions. I cant see the Tigers doing much worse than 45-3 arse kicking to the UW team.

And thats no purple and gold glasses.

BUT, i do hope CSS gets you guys going well and you finish the season on a good note and nationally ranked.

I really do.

Washington over LSU wouldn't nearly be as big as those. So, just keep in mind, our Huskies will be ready, and with all the trouble and question marks with your team, don't be surprised if we're step for step with you for the majority of the game.

You want to say its the first game of the season and we could be very rusty? Fine. You want to say it's far from home on the road? Fine. Those are decent reasons that it could be a game in the 2nd half.

But to say LSU has "question marks" when your team was winless last year? That is just plain idiotic.

honestly, the score most likely wont get to 50. id say 30s would be upper limits. my reason: were going to run the frick out of the ball the entire game. sure the qbs will get their passing reps throughout the game, but most of the game will be spent with lsu on offense running over UW like a monster truck in a junkyard

im not too concerned with how much we score on offense, i want to see if our D can work a shutout.
