Why did you list Robichaux and Bianco?
Because they were names that posters have put out there
All I did was google info & put it together
It’s easy to throw out names
The main reason for my posts was to show age, current records & salary
People keep posting Corbin, I doubt many realize he makes double than CPM

How do we "know" how much Corbin makes? Vandy doesn't publish (and isn't required to being a private school) coaching salaries.
EDIT: looks like the Tennesseean somehow got Vandy's tax return to figure out his compensation. Corbin's base is around 880k. He made an extra 1.25 million in incentive bonuses. That was back in 2016 fwiw.
quote:
Vanderbilt University operates a Division I Athletics program that is part of the Southeastern Conference, and our highly-regarded head coaches are compensated accordingly, and in line with peer institutions,” a university statement said. “Coaches Corbin, Mason and Drew received incentive payments in 2016 that increased their total compensation that year.”
A university spokesman also declined to clarify what specific accomplishments earned the bonuses, though Corbin’s could have been an incentive for completing a contract.
Why Tim Corbin’s salary finally appeared
Corbin, a 2014 national champion, is regarded as one of the top coaches in college baseball. He had not previously appeared on Vanderbilt’s tax return, which lists only the top-five earners aside from university directors and trustees, but his bonuses pushed him onto the 2016 return.
In the 2016 calendar year, Corbin was credited with $2,336,067 in total compensation, including $879,229 base, $1,247,749 bonus and incentives, $1,445 other reportable compensation, $190,841 retirement and deferred compensation and $16,803 nontaxable benefits.

Don't matter corbin there until he has had enough

Riser only makes $63k? Holy shite
That is base, I couldn’t find anything showing total compensation
I’m sure it’s significantly more
IIRC CPM has a base of 300k, the 700k+ is other compensation
I’m honestly not sure how that works

That's how most college coaching salaries work. The university pays a small fraction, and the TAFs of the world cover the rest. Those incentives include stuff like their TV shows, camps, endorsements, performance bonuses, etc.

Corbin will never leave Vandy for a public school. He won't want to actually deal with scholarship limits again after getting a taste of "Need based financial assistance."

Out of the most realistic options to leave for LSU, it’s got to be Godwin as the front runner

Doesn’t this come into play with TCU as well?

bingo. He's also been there 20 years now and would probably rather live in Nashville than Baton Rouge. Way more job security at Vandy too.

Schlossnagle also turned down State and his former AD at Texas.

TOPS doesn't offset this for LSU?

It probably does, they're just worse at using it.

The link I posted from 2018 shows base 879,229 & 1,438,590 other
I’m sure my info isn’t 100% correct, just hoping it provides a basic overview for those that only know Bianco as the coach that beat us last weekend & thinks he should be packing up his office to head to BR

See...this is why this thread was needed. Rantards want one of the most successful coaches in NCAA history gone, and they want to fill the coaching staff with people who have never coached before.

TOPS is certainly helpful, but only to in-state recruits. Vandy can go recruit elite players all over the country for an elite education at an awesome baseball program and most won't pay much of anything to go to school. Players don't regularly turn down millions of dollars because Corbin is just that good of a recruiter. They're playing with a stacked deck compared to everyone else except school like Stanford

Even with TOPS, Vandy is still way ahead as far as financial packages they can offer kids.
And geography doesn't matter.

TOPS is only for Louisiana kids. Yes, it gives a slight advantage for those kids with the grades, who are good enough to play at LSU. LSU recruits nationally though, and tops doesn't come into play there. The private schools can give out other scholarships to anybody, not just the in state kids.
