I actually think one of the games next week was scheduled the week we play Ole Miss but have to moved when that series was moved to Thursday for TV.

Because I'm not fond of the idea of playing 7 games in 8 days heading into SEC play
When there is no game, they practice and often scrimmage. Baseball players get better with repetition.
So it's not that big a deal, IMO.

who was the idiot who scheduled 2 weekday games two weeks in a row before our biggest series of the season?

I understand that but we are going to have to be very economical with our pitching staff over the next week. I want them all to be as fresh as possible for next weekend.

i'll say it right now. Nola throws a CG Friday night...

It would be real nice if the BDPT starts rolling tomorrow night.

Oh. It's starting. You on it?

They let him go nearly 100 last week. So they could let him go 8. Maybe even 9.

I'm not saying he will. But if he can be more efficient and pitch to contact then he can do it. I imagine they will let him go 100+ if he feels perfect. Limit on 110 probably.

With Vandy next weekend and the likelihood he'll have to battle Beede possibly all nine, I see him limited at around 85/95.

Yea. I'm sure that's what will happen. CPM doesn't like to take many risks with his players.
Posted on 3/4/14 at 5:45 pm to TIGERNATION031
Which is good. We lose Nola, we lose almost the season.
Posted on 3/4/14 at 5:49 pm to Broham
Yea. I'm not complaining at all. It's better this way. As opposed to giving him the Rodon treatment.
Posted on 3/4/14 at 5:53 pm to TIGERNATION031
You mean the Gausman treatment?
Posted on 3/4/14 at 6:15 pm to LSU=Champions
Anything is better than the Lane Mestepey treatment
Posted on 3/4/14 at 6:25 pm to TigerCub
Most innings pitched:
Season: 152.1 Ben McDonald (1989)
Career: 480.0 Lane Mestepey (2001-2005)
30 Greatest Tigers of the Decade: #19 Lane Mestepey
Edit:
Aaron Nola 126.0 innings 2013, 89.2 innings 2012
Total 215.2

Mestepey's career inning total is ridiculous.
