Very interesting. I thought he was hurt, actually. Good news that he's healthy.

Seems like everyone is healthy. Travinski was supposed to get some ABs. Does anyone know if there was a Thompson sighting tonight?

Holt and Simon are healthy?

Gonna be some stud outfielders on the bench especially if Morgan is out there

His comment was that they should be ready for the start of the season, assuming no new injuries between now and then, and as mentioned in the thread there have been conversations with players about the roster and where they stand. I think we can assume some of the people who will redshirt and not be on the roster are injured, and there are other players who will be on the roster that may dealing with an injury currently but will be ready by game day.
ETA: “They” should be ready, as in the team in general. He did not go into specifics other than to say Bianco is back and Travinski was taking his first swings today with his first catching next week.

Jay said he has already spoken to some current players about redshirting

Yes, I listened to the whole presser. I just thought that Leto, Simon, and Holt were injured. Leto obviously is not. So, I was just wondering if Simon and Holt were running around (throwing, etc) there tonight. The numbers may get a little bit different if all 3 of those are healthy.

Gonna be some studs on the bench, regardless. Roster has very quality depth.

Gervase. 6'10". Throws gas.
I hope so. By the time he strides out he’s halfway to the plate lol.

That helps the pitcher when the distance from his hand to home plate is shortened. It doesn’t speed up the ball but it makes it look quicker…sprinkle in some funky delivery and be able to hide the ball well and you have something there.

Reminds me of Kentucky's Sean Hjelle. I saw him getting his arm rubbed down prior to a game in Hoover and I couldn't believe how wimpy his upper arm was. He threw in the upper 90s, leverage is important.

Perceived velocity. There is a way to measure it to get a comparison to actual velo. But it’s a thing.

Not sure about Holt. Simon not going to play.
