I had seen something about that a while back. I assumed it never materialized because he never showed up on a roster. He was supposed to play in a Cali summer league and had LSU listed as his school but never played there either.
ETA: played juco ball in St Louis I believe.
His name is Darian Howard, he played at St Louis CC, where David Freese played. Freese and Ryan Howard both went to the same hs in the STL metro area, Lafayette. At different times though. Luke Voit also went there.

He hasn’t in the past that I’m aware of, I just looked him up over the summer when I saw him attached to LSU.

The walk on was nothing to get excited about. 83-86 mph FB.
