The player from Cal is a 2nd baseman.

Don’t worry about Jay brother. He’s got some horses in line to come for sure. Already has one in Dardar. Just enjoy these last few games and hopefully celebrating another national title.

I guess Jarren Advincula would be 3rd base?

This is what we have just with returners and transfers. I’m completely guessing on who will play where on the infield but even if we didn’t take anyone, we have a decent roster.

C: Arrambide
1B: Reaves
2B: Simpson
SS: Milam
3B: Dardar
LF: Brown
CF: Curiel
RF: Larson
DH: Pearson

Friday: Evans
Saturday: Schmidt
Sunday: Cowan
Closer: Guidry
Reliever: Rizy
Reliever: Sheerin
Reliever:Mayers

This doesn’t even consider any freshmen coming in. I’m sure we will still add a few pitchers and a fielder or 2.

Mayers throws 100 with a very electric fastball. I’d be shocked if he’s not drafted in the first 10 rounds.

Maybe it’s hopeful thinking but he didn’t play much so maybe he comes back to prove he can be more.

Wasn’t really the point. The point was that we COULD fill out a roster with who we have on the team currently. I also don’t think Cowan coming back and starting is a given.

No but that is the most important position in question. Preferably a LH in the likes of TMIII. Those near splits halfway down the line make a difference in bang bang plays.

Does anybody know if lsu is in contact with any pitchers since jj is good at recruiting all year round especially

100 percent he has .
this is the time where we contact players the most. every team in the nation is contacting players now.this is when we got players in 2023 for the 2024 season

So what you are saying is you'd rather be in the offseason looking for transfers than playing for the national championship?

Jay's already said hes working the portal every day right now. other coaches have said the same. you can't afford to get behind other teams

He was a full weekend starter for Nicholls last season, and has really come along lately. He’s also a junior, so if he gets drafted this is his best chance to get a decent signing bonus.

I’d love for him to come back but I just think that despite his command issues, there will be an MLB team who takes a shot at him
