What are the thoughts on an alternative cap? I know they wear a camo cap for military appreciation and stuff like that. How about a white cap?

Pinstripes and grays by far the best
Gold is cool for the tradition but doesn’t hold a candle to the above in terms of looks

LSU began wearing black uniforms as far back as 1999. Bruce Sprowl didn't come to LSU until 2003.

Also, we need to update our gold unis back to this. Current golds are plain as hell with white on gold and no accents.

People always attribute the black hat to Smoke. Skip introduced that hat and a black jersey in 1999, several years before Smoke. Smoke had several abominations of uniforms, but the black stuff started before him
Can't find a color photo, but you can clearly see the contrast in the hat. This is Bertman wearing a black jersey and black hat w purple bill with the team (notice the intimidator doesn't have 2000 on it yet)
Now, here is Smoke making something bad worse
paul had a couple of weird alt hats in his earlier years. He had this weird paneled hat in 2009
But yeah, the white hat with the purple bill was terrible too

So wrong on both topics, but a shot at Nolan right there is just down right idiotic. You don't get and keep the jobs that guy does, if you're bad. Dude is an incredible coach, and even better human being.

I have always liked the grey pinstripes the best but they haven't worn those in a few years.
