Gino's is the best Italian. Not even close.

True, but he's got a 15 and 11yo in tow. Those younguns will not be allowed in Coops.

Get beignets at Morning Call at Canal Blvd. and City Park Avenue in New Orleans.
Good call. Which reminds me, when in Baton Rouge, if you are not up for the full breakfast at Louie’s, Coffee Call off of College St has been around a long time and has great beniets.

I could make a case for Little Village downtown, although they are different for sure. Their backstory is cool too.
EDIT: for fun, I read the reviews, LV might be having some recent management issues, so be advised. I’ve never had a bad meal there but apparently some have recently. Get the sea bass.

Agreed. And I enjoy Monjuni's on Jefferson near Government Street. Delicious.

He wasn't writing to you personally, either. Why did you respond with filthy language?

It's Cafe DuMonde for coffee and beignets for me when in New Orleans. I like to walk to the levee to enjoy them. Sit on a park bench and watch the ships float by enjoying good coffee.

I’d bring a pole and hit some barpits on the levee out in the sticks.. find some restraint in areas of the beaten path

If you’re in to old world traditions from across the pond , you should drive up to Scotlandville. Lots of culture !

Forget Baton Rouge and spend time in NOLA. French Quarter, Aquarium, Audubon Park, WW2 Museum, Commanders Palace, Brennans, Pat O’Briens….
BR has nothing close to it.

Is it back yet? It was towed somewhere down south for some pretty extensive work to shore up the structure. It was getting pretty bad.
