last year I was thinking they must have been full of shite talking about his speed
Runs against TAMU and Notre Dame and you still thought they were talking shite? Even in the earlier part of the year he was making people look stupid in the open field with his quickness.
What he has developed, is his anticipation and patience to set up blocks. His open field vision has improved as well as how he hits the hole.
Anybody who says anything about not thinking he was as fast as they said even watching last year, should not be taken seriously on how to judge speed.

Yes and I was asked by 3 co workers who was the best rb in college football in late July and early August and told all 3 I will do one better than that and give you the best rb in college or pro, LF.
One of those 3 played basketball for Southern Miss then South Carolina and he said Georgia's rb was better, I told him wait and see this coming season.

After seeing what he did against a good John Curtis defense his senior year I felt he was a "must have" recruit like none other. Been following LSU since 1970's and never felt so strongly about a recruit before.

In a word, no.
I knew he was good, but he has gone Super Beast this season.
