No doubt this has been a great season, its just frustrating to see such a talented team look so bad against left handed pitching.13 out of 16 losses against leftys is just a little to obvious for opposing teams to take advantage of.So who is responsible for correcting this problem?
Does the hitting coach get credit for only 3 losses to righties? That's a huge accomplishment.

Left hand pitchers hate LSU!

We are 48-16, SEC regular season AND tournament champs, on the verge of hosting a SR, and you guys want to replace the hitting coach. Unreal.
I swear to God, some of you people would bitch about a free lunch.
Bet they are piccalo players.

Do you realize that left-handed batters typically bat worse against lefties than righties? This is not just an LSU problem.

Who is the best hitting coach in college that would be approachable for that role on LSU's team?
Oh, you mean to replace the hitting coach that coached our tigers that had 40 Hits in 3 games in the Regional. That hitting coach. Right. Lets definately find a better hitting coach since we are having so much trouble.

Here are some former LSU players I would love to see come back to LSU to coach.
1. Todd Walker
2. Matt Heath (was coaching at Auburn)
3. Blair Barbier (was coaching at LSU)
4. Brad Cresse
5. Ryan Theriot (when he retires)
All would be great hitting coaches in my opinion especially Todd Walker, and I bet Walker would also be an ace recruiter.

Mike Martin Jr. Florida State only scored 37 runs yesterday
Think his dad would let him come over here?

But if we thaw Williams out (isn't his remains still frozen in AZ?), will be able to make it to BR? (LOL)

Let me ask you this,Would you not like to see them hit better against leftys?

Not to disagree with you, but I've seen times where former superstars have struggled as coaches because they don't understand why everyone doesn't "get it" the way they did.
Especially hitters. I'd be all for bring a guy like TW, but I would want to talk with his former MLB teammates to see what kind of hitting coach he was in the bigs.
PS. I am still a Sanchez fan and think he is the right guy for the job.
He's a wonderkind

Ted Williams was possibly the greatest hitter who ever lived. But he was a terrible manager because he couldn't understand why his players couldn't hit like he did.
That, plus the fact he had no concept of how to handle a pitching staff.
