BK is in the hot seat right now. I never thought this was a good hire. He came from ND in a soft conference to the gauntlet of the SEC and he is like what the Fk did I get my arse into. I do not look for more than 9 wins per season and maybe 10 with the bowl, which does not mean shite any longer. If it was not for his 50+mil buyout his seat would be sizzling right now especially when we lose to Clemson. I do not like BK.

Brian Kelly career head coaching record is 292-107. At LSU he is 29-11. This is almost perfect on pace with his career average
Orgeron nearly destroyed the program, which happens to be in the toughest conference in college football.

But he's 17-7 in SEC play
So, he came into a rebuild job, and has gone 6-2, 6-2, 5-3.

Newsflash: that's GOOD.

@Ole Miss, @Bama and @OU are rough games
Do you know our history? At Bama means we have better odds at winning.

I know everyone wants to get back to winning national titles. Let me just point out, there were other SEC teams winning titles while we were; Auburn, Florida among them. Pretty sure they'd love to have some 9-3 seasons with 6-2 conference records right now.

Dude literally came to LSU when LSU had the worst and most depleted roster I have ever seen.

He took over when no coach would touch LSU because Bama/Saban every single season & he did so with 30+ players on scolly. Dude has chest!

Meanwhile the year 3 crowd on the rant wants to start some hotseat BS.

CBK took LSU from turmoil to "possible" contender year 4, that leaves 6 years to CBK's contract & that's plenty of time for LSU to wreck shite.

Some of y'all need to put your purple & gold glasses on it's the freaking offseason Jebus

BK won't be let go this year; he would have to do a lot worse than "not make the playoffs" (not an easy feat; heck Alabama, Ole Miss and South Carolina didn't make the playoffs last year, and they were all solid football teams). Even if he goes 6-6, he will be coaching in Baton Rouge the following year.

Then if he underperforms, he'll be replaced but not with Nick Saban who even if Terry allows him to come back won't be in purple and gold. I'm thinking now 45-year-old Neal Brown, former head coach at Troy and West Virginia, and current assistant at UT might become the next head coach at LSU.

Kelly is what he is.

Saban, Miles and O were significantly better than what they were once at LSU.

He inherited an absolute shite show. He way over achieved beating Saban and winning the West in year one, so expectations jumped beyond the reality of the roster limitations, and then Matt House face-planted. He appears to have the roster and coaching staff sorted out I think the talent (while good) will continue to get better over the next couple seasons.

We'll really see what he's capable of at LSU over the next 3-4 years.

This dude can coach the hell out of his teams and I thought in state talent pool would help him get to the next level. But he's 17-7 in SEC play which is way worse.

Consider how Coach O left the program and then consider that the NIL world blew up overnight right in the middle of all this. I would say, I think CBK has shown that he is learning on the fly how to manage 1) LSU's program and 2) the NIL world. He's corrected almost every mess up he's had in coaching personnel, recruiting, and NIL.

I honestly think his future at LSU will be decided in game one at Clemson. This is why: He is winless in his game one’s at LSU, and for whatever reason has traditionally started slow and gets better during the season. And I believe that’s been the case at all of his stops during his career.

This year, I don’t believe he’ll have the luxury of being able to start slow again, and recover well enough to make some noise in the playoff, which is mandatory.
Especially with the players he’s been afforded to lineup, and a heisman candidate at QB. He must show he can get the team ready by game one to beat a legitimate team, and to build the kind of momentum and belief (or buy in) by the players that it takes to make a run through the gauntlet that is LSU’s annual schedule, and make the playoff.

If he wins against Clemson, he then gets his “tuneup” game two to try to continue to get the timing down and kinks out against Tech, and then must be ready for a tough game three with Florida coming early this year.

If he loses against Clemson, he immediately will have everything working against him, and must somehow run the table the rest of the season, which I would have to say “Good Luck!”

Lose to Clemson and it will be nuclear all season...

But he's not going anywhere for AT LEAST 3 years because of the contract.

Why you haiting on Will Campbell? This is this the 1st year CBK should have a legit defense. We'll see what happens. Young oline might be out Achilles this year.

He's here at least for another 2 seasons regardless of how this season shapes out with that contract.

I saw something the other day about how schools are now using money they would normally use to buyout coaches for NIL now, so he would have to be fired for cause if people want him gone sooner rather than later.
