How many of them throw 95 as "the standard"?

Reyzelman hits 96+ on just about every pitch

I’m not sure about this. He threw 20 pitches (give or take Saturday) & the same last night. I’m not saying he is definitely still in the weekend rotation, but just because he pitched last night doesn’t mean he’s done for the weekend either.

Exactly. He obviously got little to no productive work on Saturday. Using him yesterday for 1-2 IP was smart, and hopefully let him work on his mechanics and confidence. Let's GEAUX Money!

Was it the injury that set him back and he lost his confidence and got in his own head?

Meh.
Obviously, SEC talent is harder to get out but if you're trying to live in the middle 1/3 you can get hammered by anybody. He spotted the FB and landed a lot of CB to both sides before the injury.
Being it was a pitching wrist injury I'm gonna leave the door open. They will have to show me you can come back full force from a throwing hand wrist injury. Doesn't make sense to me.

He’ll be starting again before the season is done.

If he is then LSU is in a world of hurt. Money hasn’t been very “Money” of late.

Hopefully he can contribute from the pen cause I don’t think CJJ trusts him anymore & that’ll be hard to come back from this late in the season with everything on the line every weekend from here thru the SEC-T & Regionals.

I’m really confused with Money. Was it the injury that set him back and he lost his confidence and got in his own head?

I think it was not playing Maine, Towson, and Southern that set him back. Once we got past the 1AA schedule, things changed.

It’s old habits. Spotting the fastball is still the problem from last year. I’m no pitching coach but his delivery/release point moves and appears different every pitch. He’s got everything but the ability to hit spots. It’s a small window and off a little means hits against college hitting. I don’t think he’s done as a starter. They will continue to try and compact his delivery. When he hits his locations he is very effective. Lots of velo and movement. Tall guys sometimes have trouble with repetition.

They could find a nice spot for him in the bullpen where’s he’s effective. But he could settle into the Sunday starter as well. Only 2 more series left to do it, but if we host a regional, he may could throw Game 1 against the #4. If the bats are going, he could eat some some innings and even if he gives up some runs, stay out there and save the pen. Even if he gives up runs, just eating up innings will set us up nicely for the rest of the regional. Hilliard goes game 2, and we’re set up pretty nicely to win the regional. Now, the supers and beyond, we’ll see. I think the injury definitely set him back, amd he lost some confidence. But if he has success and gets some confidence back, who knows? But he he has to play a significant role somehow for us to make a run. Jay and Kelly have to just figure it out with not much time left to experiment.

Blake hasn't been the same since Mo'ne Davis pitched that gem and beat him in the LLWS. Crazy to remember watching him pitch in that game and he ended up at LSU. Somebody post his lil bro Cash Money gif from the broadcast. Surely that has been discussed before

It just has to work out better than Money has been.

I'm no pitching guru, but I think we can get better production.
