Hey, don't hate the player hate the game. If the NCAA didn't want this type of junk (I don't like it) then they shouldn't have started it in the first place. Wherever man is, corruption/confusion WILL follow.

My how the mighty have fallen. What a douche. Glad to see his hate for LSU hasn't left. Lane don't care what he thinks, and neither do LSU fans.

Forde forgot to mention that the Tennessee fan base also hates Lane. It’s kinda cool that LSU is now the bad boy of college football when in effect Kiffin has done nothing wrong other than take advantage of the cluster frick that college football has become.

Kind of like the old Oakland Raiders of the 70s reputation. Oh, I'm dating myself lol!

LSU is one of the biggest social media brands in CFB. Put 2 + 2 together. They are farming for clicks and engagement.

If they use the LSU name in an article it gets them a ton of clicks. It’s pretty obvious considering every single national writer writes about us in every article in some form or fashion.

Did he make any comment about Penn State taking 19 of Iowa State players after their coach left for Penn State? Of course he didn’t.

How can a school even fathom bringing back a coach who was paying players with strong arse offers!!!......at a time where "strong arse offers" are how recruiting works!!!?

LSU doesn't owe Ole Miss anything.

If Lane wanted to stay at OM he could have simply turned LSU's offer down. He didn't.

If OM wanted to allow Lane to continue coaching OM through the CFP they could have. But they didn't.

If the assistant coaches wanted to stay at OM they simply could have turned Lane's offer to join him at LSU down. They didn't.

The fact that LSU's OC and many offensive coaches have continued to coach OM through the CFP is a FAVOR to OM that LSU did not have to grant.

Major college football and basketball are ENTERTAINMENT BUSINESSES and have been now for decades. In fact, people like Forde wouldn't have a job if that wasn't the case. The only people getting upset about it are those who still maintain some long outdated notion college football/basketball are some altruistic scholastic extracurricular.

Pat Forde and Dan Wolken are going to end up like Keith Olbermann.

My son plays college football.

I have always followed recruiting. Now, following this personal insight from lived experience, “weasels” all over the sport is a fair description. Landed in great place with high integrity coach so worked out, but path to get there opened my eyes wider on weasels. Pat ain’t wrong.

I recall specific example when Kiffin was at Tennessee and LSU had 5-star DB commitment from Lake Charles while Kiffin had secret flip arrangement with him that resulted in LSU losing him and timed whereby LSU ran out of time and missed out on alternative stud DB out of AL.

That Lake Charles DB was/is in jail. Armed robbery in TN as I recall. Weasels don’t always win.

LSU hired Kiffin. May the best weasel win is my new hypocrisy point of confused view of what was once the best sport in the world. That is far from it right now. It feeds the weasels like never before.

He's not writing for a relic organization because he's actually good at this. He's been on a steady decline for years because everyone knows he's a blowhard, clicking this article won't save him for being laid off again
