Top programs recruit top guys.

They tend to play early and leave early.

But Oklahoma state has a senior QB who waited to start

It happens but that's now a rarity.

I don't think Brennan is the one they want to win the job. That's just what I believe based on the circumstantial evidence we have.

Nowhere did I say Brennan was going to be beaten out. You need to pay closer attention who you respond to.

Dude Jefferson and Harris were bad. Period.

Harris was bad at 2 schools and benched at both.

Narcisse was beaten out in JUCO by a Freshman who badly outperformed Narcisse.

If you look at that and blame LSU for it then you are just a dumbass. The only thing LSU did wrong was trying to turn "athletes" into QBs.

None of the 3 QBs mentioned were held back by anything LSU did. They were held back by their own lack of ability at the SEC level.

You're missing the point here. Harris was bad period. There is proof of that. Jefferson however was similar to Parrish in composite rankings. Yes any player can be a bust, but it's hard to think that every QB that came through LSU since Jimbo left was just "bad". If you want to believe that there was no QB coaching issue fine. It's a moot point now, but I can't think of any QBs outside of Mett that saw significant technical improvement from their time at LSU.

I agree to a certain point. I think this further proves how the high school game and the college game are so different. It's one thing to look great on film in high school, but it's another to perform when much better athletes are on the field and much more is asked of you as a QB. I would love to see Brennan become the man because he's from Mississippi (not far from LSU) and he's been loyal to the program. It takes a lot for a QB to sit back and watch the coaches bring in another guy to replace you! I also wouldn't be surprised to hear he's transferring any day also.

You act like a true freshman has never been better than a Jr or Sr player. If the freshman is better than the Jr then yes it will be tough to beat him out. Many teams have started a freshman because he is their most talented player.

Brennan will start and probably be very good, it's about time we actually developed a QB

Very well stated Falcon. People around here think that qb development thing is voodoo or something. Yet there are actual examples where it has been the norm for years. Why don’t we just let this Burrow, Brennan, Parish drama play out before we actual crown or crucify one if these guys.. oh wait I’m sorry I forgot where I was.

We have not seen enough to know how well he reads defenses. Burrow is the man next year but Brennan will play as well. Plenty of time for him to develop into a quality QB!
