Hell why not, I could give two shits where he parked his dick at State. He is is a good coach.
Ok. Let’s say no one cares that he cheated on his wife. Also with a married woman at that. That’s not even why he got fired. It’s not where he stuck his dick. It’s that fact that he wasn’t doing his job because he was thinking with his dick. He got fired for not managing the team. So again. No thanks. If he didn’t take the job as head coach seriously enough, why would he take hitting coach seriously?

Rehire Javy?
Absolutely.
Then fire Javy.

I never heard any one say he wasn’t taking his job seriously. He resigned after he got caught. This kind of thinking got JBE elected. He is a good coach, I don’t think he will screw up like that again.

Hitting coach is overrated. Do you really need to be taught how to swing a bat at the college level. It's like being a track coach. "Hey, run really fast from point A too B." You've been coached.

The general point of your post is correct, as we’ll have the same over aggressive approach regardless of the hitting coach because that’s what Mainieri wants. But it, and I would assume track, is a little more detailed than that.

Let me guess, you've never run track, played baseball nor any other sport, have you?

AC will never come back as a hitting coach.
We do however need to find a bonafide hitting coach.

I heard he was texting the side piece during the game opening weekend during the USM series. He went out to the mound to call for a pitching change and there were no pitchers in the bullpen. He was gone on Monday.

Are you counting pee wee baseball & lil dribblers? Some of the great coaches never played. Our very own Will Wade or Mike Leach.

I agree. Some great coaches never played. And some idiots think track coaches only have to say "run fast." You fall into the latter category.

You're right, they have to also say jump higher and hand the baton off better. Sorry u mad, didn't realize you coached track. Keep up the good work. I will say it probably takes a lil more skill than coaching girls middle school volleyball.

Wondering where the OP was when AC got fired as the season started? All this got hashed out at that time & for several wks afterwards. In depth. His own players & staff turned him in for his lack of attention as their HC during games & practices. Cohen hired someone to time his phone time in the DUGOUT during the S.Miss series. He was fired soon afterwards. Great recruiter? I am pretty sure those 3 letters, LSU, across his chest had a lot to do with his success. And he's a dyed in the wool greenie & has no personal ties to LSU beyond his 2 yrs coaching here.

He did sign the 2018 #3 ranked class in the country at MSU behind #1 Vandy & #2 LSU

Why do people always bring politics into every discussion these days? I have no idea what kind of thinking you are referring to. The dude was doing a terrible job and deserved to get fired. Is that bad thinking?

I bet Andy, if offered, would come back to LSU in a New York second as there hitting coach/recruiting coordinator. 9/10 times if someone fricks up and a "great" position opens up again you'll never ever make that same mistake again. When he was at LSU hitting increased in average and production and SB increased twofold.

Yep, too bad as LSU needs better than what they've gotten.
