Runner on 2nd with Crews up and 2 outs is one reason why White was such a perfect addition to this lineup. Pitch to Crews or pitch around him and have to face White with 2 on and the very real possibility of a 3-run homer. Even though it didn’t work out that particular AB.
Damn, we wasted an opportunity to drive his pitch count up that half. Oh well. Just delaying the inevitable.
