He’s a 3-4 rd pick most years. He doesn’t have the passing consistency of a top tier Qb

Yea his performance against Georgia raised his stock quite a bit and the draft is looking weak for QBs. Unless he gets offered something crazy to stay (and approved of course).
NIL can be more profitable than rookie contracts,
Not that I disagree, but isn't there incentive to go to the league asap to get the clock running to get past your rookie contract and on to your next? So not just about the money today, but the money and opportunities in 3+ years?

He threw no less than 3 pics tonight if Miami DBs don’t have bricks for hands.

I thought in general he played outstanding BUT you are correct. 3 passes were either directly to UM players or easy deflection to one. My favorite quote of all time was by Bill Yeoman the former UH coach. WR Lionel Phi dropped several passes in a game they played. Yeoman said "it this keeps up, I'm moving him to defensive back." There is a reason that some of these guys are on defense. They can't catch a cold.

Do late 1st rounders make more than a starting SEC QB these days though?

Yes. If he's drafted in the first two rounds of the draft, he will be making more in the NFL over the life of the contract. He'd also access more legitimate sponsorship and brand deals as an NFL QB, being in an NFL market, rather than Oxford.

If he worked his way into the first round, then it is a no-brainer.

Another thing for Chambliss to consider, if he waits another year to enter, he would be 25 years old in his rookie year.

It is a weak QB draft, I think it is crazy to pass up the opportunity. His stock will never be higher than it is right now. All he has to do is make himself QB3 in this class, and he's set for life.

Sorsby is making more than Jaxon Dart right now.

Neither did Josh Allen and he played against way worse competition.

He's going to go pro because he's not going to have a choice

He should have had one more play at end of game if that pass interference was called.

Chambliss would be returning to no Lane and no Charlie Weis. Risky.

The NCAA would be doing him a huge disservice by granting his waiver! The best thing they can do for the kid is to deny it!

did we watch the same game? some of his passes were short, behind the receiver, etc. he needs another year to get polished for the league. Still get paid, enjoy college, have fun.

The highest I have seen is late second round grade. The majority have him graded at 4th or lower. He will get way more money in his pocket staying at Ole Miss for one more year. He will be 25 when comes out.

OM must be pretty confident in waiver…they do not appear to be in the mix for the remaining notable portal QBs

I’ve thought about this.

I agree that he’s probably at worst a 2nd rounder and could climb the draft.

But he’s small. That could limit him.

AND (biggest part) he would get about 5M to play in college next year.

I could see him staying.
