Weird title especially from Baker’s standpoint. The HC’s brother is taking half your title. Just weird nepo vibes. Not a fan of it
Same with Kevin Peoples who apparently gets a sidekick too. Unless he’s leaving and we don’t know it yet.

I know I'm in the minority, but I didn't want Baker to stay at LSU because he's not an elite DC. Was the defense improved, yes, but we were so awful that any improvement stood out.
The reality is the LSU defense continues to struggle with teams that have a running QB and that shouldn't be happening two years as DC.
I think Kiffin's brother can only help the situation.

I think assistant DC would have been better.
I’m a firm believer in 2 people for 1 job is setting up failure, but hopefully it’s just an inflated title. The problem is, even if it’s that- during a disagreement an inflated title can cause unnecessary drama.
Plus, we begged Blake to stay. I’d be a little perturbed that I’m sharing the role with little bro.

Would this post exist if he was given a different name by his parents like ohhh I dont know Monte Kiffin Jr. I think the family pedigree is enough experience for him to be put in a Prep roll.

Same thing on the offense. Weis is OC, Joe Cox is Co-OC.
It is a title and more to say that Baker is in charge of defense as a whole and if he were to get a HC job elsewhere, Kiffin is next man up & I'm sure also paid accordingly. Baker wouldn't have come back if this had anything to do with control of the D. This is not anything out of the ordinary and shouldn't be looked into to deeply.

Can't hurt to have somebody who can keep the recruiting going (with title to back it up) for the day that Baker does take that HC job.

This likely isn’t the case. Just like how when Joe Sloan was fired, Co-OC Cortez Hankton wasn’t the next man up.

Baker is a professional and is being paid millions annually to coach at one of the best programs in the nation. He isn't an emotional child like some of y'all. I don't know how yall function with this mentality daily
