First play: toss dive. Like 5-6 seasons in a row.

I mean, you had a contender in 2012, Contender in 2013, bad 2014 season, contender in 2015, and then wheels fell off in 2016. He was a bama win away from the title game in 2 of those years, and he built an amazing roster in 2016. He just ran out of gas as a coach. The game passed him by. Very few other programs enjoyed great success during that time.

Miles was a decent coach with unbelievable talent and luck.

There are so many but the best one was already mentioned, which was after the win against Ole Miss and the "give them a kiss" comment.
Still shocked he didn't get more flack from that, especially since the "offended by everything" movement was in full force.

You think Les is the reason we had great defenses? He did recruit great defensive players
Do you think Dabo is out there coaching up defenses?

If football ever pulls away from NCAA teams that had wins vacated just needs to add them all back.

I mean they gave Reggie Bush his heisman back and I am sure that home was worth more than 180k.
Miles played the role of a good face of a program man, solid family man and character and ended up being a creep.
HIs record is what it is you can't deny him that. He recruited great talent but was a little too loyal in key staffing positions and one stubborn son of a gun. Like another poster said, he kept on saying he's changing the offense and yet the same old crap year after year. I think he never let Russell Sheppard throw a pass just because he knew that is what the fans wanted to see.

Everything posted so far is true...The second-winningest coach in school history, behind only Charlie McClendon. If holding us back you mean beating Alabama in Tuscaloosa and forced to play them again 1(3-1 that season). We should have played Oklahoma State who was the #2 team in the nation. Third smallest tv rated National championship game. The hate for Les after that game by fans is what made his final years seem worse than the actually were. O takes the pieces and wins another title, can't really we were held back.

What exactly are you doing in here besides being a fig?
Youre being contrarian to your own points for fricks sake.

Yeah, that was honestly a surprise to me. I started hearing stuff about 4 years before it all came out so by that time I was not surprised......but when I first heard it I really was - and disappointed.
I mean that's not that uncommon for football coaches, especially when they get to big schools - but for my perception of Les - not as a coach but as a person - it was very disappointing.
As far as a coach the way he spoke never really instilled confidence in me at all, so in that regard he exceeded my expectations via performance on the field.

The 2011 defense and special teams were historic, the offense was absolutely atrocious
Not arguing at all. The summer before that season I listen to Les speak at a coaching convention, specifically on offense… while all other coaches spoke X’s & O’s, his entire speech was about “breaking the defense’s will”. I thought it was ridiculous but I’ll be damned that he didn’t go out & do that for 13 games that season.

JimTiger and fat bastard are the same person.
I have no clue why they still hold a grudge after so long

I don't remember ever seeing or hearing of any proof or testimony that Miles or anyone else at LSU knew about it or had any way to know. Was it possible? Sure. Was it likely? Where's the proof?
Guilty until proven innocent, right?

It DOESN'T apply out in the real world, where organizations can (and should) make decisions based on far less than a conviction, which can takes years.

That question and exchange with the reporter on Erin Andrews was creepy as hell! I'd never seen that one before.
