The team will finish the season in the Top 10, what in the frick are you talking about?

We finished 4th in the SEC and 3rd in the SECW.

This was a good year, but we have to fix the offense and show some ability to compete with Bama for the west.

Can we stop acting like the the regular season win total was EVER 6? It was 7, and we won 9.

we may have to be resigned to the fact that we're not gonna compete with bama at this point

it's about competing against everyone else

it's just how it is, imo

Tough to bash the offensive coaching-

no Offensive line
average to below average RBs
receivers who dropped a lot of balls.

we do have a good qb though.

Sure do. Emsminger is still a train wreck along with most of the offensive staff and there are stats to back that up. Beating the best team in the AAC is like beating Ole Miss. highly overrated.

What I meant by that is that we have to keep the Bama game competitive (as in, not get beat down 29-0). I don’t think that’s too much to ask.

If we’re going to get into the playoffs without winning the west, we need to consistently beat the UFs and Mississippi States and be competitive against Bama.

I think this is our path to the playoff, and it's achievable next year. We'll get a top 15, possibly top 10 UT the second week and a Utah State team that won 12 games this year to go along with our usual conference schedule. Go 11-1 with a competitive loss to Bama and you are in good position to make the playoffs.

This coaching staff isn’t competing with Saban anytime soon. LSU traded miles for miles.

I agree with you, just pointing out that hyperbole.

Not with that OL. That was one of the worst OL I’ve ever seen at LSU

It's hilarious that bashing the coaches is off limits to you and others, but throwing an entire position group under the bus is A-Okay.

fricking frauds.

Overall it was a very good season. Unfortunately most will dwell on the fact that it could have been better if the team was better in the red zone and the offense didn’t go blank during long stretches in a few games. Those problems aside it was a good year. Looking forward to seeing how they look next year.

Not scoring against Alabama is something that should have never happened.

Yes. We need to give them credit for pushing this team to finish above expectations for the first time in many seasons.

Orgeron wasn't the flashy hire, but I'm pleased with the results this year. Next year, the bar gets raised significantly.

See, none of this can be supported. It's stupid fricks like this that flock to the scoreboard every game and make that place unreadable. Low IQ shits like this need to be purged from the rolls.

They’re a machine right now. Just like UCLA in basketball in the 70s. LSU along with every other program in the country is trying to compete with them and coming up short. We’re not the only one having to deal with this.

They’re a super heavyweight and most every other P5 program are light heavyweights. They’re going to get it eventually, but until they do, they’re going to keep rolling.

I certainly understand this website and opposing views of LSU, but to lose our top rusher after the first game, playing a QB that gets on campus in June, losing our top off lineman to off the incident, losing 2 QB’s to transfer, and that schedule, I think our coaching staff did very well. O kept the players focused and determined

Sorry I hold the actual players executing the plays responsible for their play on the field. Do you think the coaches just go out and not teach technique or try to put them in positions to be successful? They just go out there and tell them it’s ok to play mediocre and miss blocks ? Or jump on a play to try to draw the defense when EVERYONE else on the field knows what’s going on except Lewis?

Players lose their starting jobs for a reason and it’s becuase they continue to mess up or they’re not good enough. The depth on the OL is what it is and you can only make good food with the right ingredients.

Blaming coaches for every single tiny thing is and will always be the most absurd thing I’ve ever heard in sports.

The guy is a clown. Just like the rest of them that think playstation is the same as real football.
All of them should be sterilized so their severe genetic defects can no longer pollute the gene pool.
