so not embarrassing? even if just for lack of creativity?
I've yet to find myself embarrassed by something someone I don't know has done. I also don't care if it's creative. When I was drunk in a student section, I probably wasn't all that creative either.

I was in the student section, didn't join in the overrated or FU chant, and didn't throw stuff. I think people are overreacting. It's not like people threw shite and others encouraged it. As soon as the throwing started, police and event staff went through the student section and started pulling people.

There are plenty of schools who have pretty intimidating crowds that don't have use for such vulgarity. Duke, Kansas, Iowa St., North Carolina, Florid.....all very loud and intimidating schools to play at.
That said, I don't mind vulgarity, been a part of a few "frick You _____", but it was typically directed generically at the team, or some player trying to provoke something.
But, the frick You Buddy chant just shows that LSU isn't a basketball school and its fans aren't as intelligent basketball fans. Hield is a talent and will win POTY, and the LSU fans should have found something better to lob his way.

i was unable to watch the game, did Hield do anything besides be awesome to warrant the chant?
Not that I'm aware of, there is just a general lack of originality in what our students bring to sporting events and unable to come up with anything clever a few knuckleheads resort to the lowest common denominator.

There were a few things yelled that you wouldn't know about unless you were close to the student section. They looked at Buddy's bio and found out he had 2 sisters. During our free throws a few guys would wait until the ball was in the air and yell stuff like "buddy's sisters do anal!" Is that not a little more creative than FU Buddy?

No, not really.

Hit us up with something creative. You have 2 minutes to research.

Once again we prove to the rest of the country that we are a bunch of idiots from the swamp.

FYI I was more embarrassed that yall tried the giving birth stunt that another school already made big.
THAT is lack of originality people.

Why is everyone focused on being "creative" and "cute"? How about just come to the game and scream and yell and make noise instead of trying to be a clever "try-hard"?
How about a reallllly loud "L-S-U" chant? I'd rather hear that than the student section's "night at the Improv" audition. Keep it simple. Be loud.

You're the one that said the other guy wasn't, you tell me.

That's what happened. People on your side are saying the students should be more creative.

I bet they didn't do that once.

I was actually the "baby" tiger. And wasn't the original a high school, giving birth to a person? I think having the official mascot come over and "give birth" to another tiger is a little more creative. But no, you're just trying to find reasons to bitch.

No he didn't. Creativity is not required. He can still be an excellent fan by simply applauding.
You really need to stop defending poor behavior at games. You'll never be considered an excellent fan.

And lost in the fray of unoriginality was the attempt at the "I believe that we will win" chant at the start of the game. Um, that was cool somewhere else like 5 years ago.
What we realllly need is some lame dude with a dry-erase board writing un-funny witticisms for everyone to see and cringe at.
Oh wait...

Didn't you just get finished telling me you don't care about creativity?
