Ill trade a few uninspired efforts for some better defense

You’re right he’s still learning but for me anyway games like tonight are inexcusable. Not the outcome per se, losses can happen on any given night. The head scratching comes because of the game plan and the total flat footed response to that plan. We know UGA been at their best vs 1-3-1 style traps shooting well over 50% vs teams who’ve tried it against them yet we come out and play right into their strengths. Not only that but being caught off guard when it doesn’t work out is even worse. Surely if you’re going into the game belligerently stubborn you must have a contingency right? Not Wade. The offensive side wasn’t any better, no adjustments of any kind. I like Wade, I’ve defended him since he’s arrived but he’s what 2-3 games over .500 in his last 30 games? He’s regressing.

Y’all need to realize that Wade is pacing to be the best LSU basketball coach ever snd we should be appreciative of that. Not constantly bitching every time he loses a game
Please don’t use Phil Jackson in the same sentence as Will Wade. That’s insulting!

Is this really a valid defense for poor coaching? If so, somebody run out and find Mike Archer. He was only 37 when we fired him.

I think its somewhat an excuse. Was scott drew an elite coach when he was younger? Coach k?
Hell, do you want to see Dale browns record his first few years here?

Will Wade is no game coach.
He is "good" at recruiting perhaps---he seems to know the dirty tricks.

Dale Brown could coach circles around Wade. #FACT

Dale squandered a lot of talent whole Wade has only squandered a little talent...

Dale had two of the best players in SEC history on the same team along with several other Parade AA and couldn’t get to the sweet 16. Dale Brown was a terrible game day coach. I believe LSU still holds the SEC record for losing a game by being up 31 at half against KY.
LSU was a 4 seed in 89-90 and lost in the second round to 9 seed Georgia Tech.
In 90-91 they got bounced in the first RD as a 6 seed.

Wtf how about his teams that made the final 4? Are you really saying Brown wasn’t a better coach bc some of his teams were upset in the tournament? Under Brown LSU had one of the longest streaks playing in the tournament. I can name a bunch of great coaches that were upset in early rounds in the tournament...it happens!
Brown could definitely get more with less. His teams were much more disciplined and played hard and were much more fundamentally sound.

Brown knew the key to winning in college basketball, since then, name a great point guard at LSU.
You have to get player at pg who can do many things in game, but get the ball to the shooter is the key. He also has to be able to shoot as well.

Wade has been here long enough to get his recruits in and establish a program in my opinion. I’m just not impressed with where he has this program

Dale Brown also hold the record for largest margin of victory against Kentucky at Rupp Arena. He also took a1Seed to the final 4 and an 11 Seed to the Final Four. He also took other teams of various seeds to the Elite 8 and Sweet 16. But yea, he can’t coach.

Dale's strong arse offers were more than Wade's strong arse offers

You can teach defense. Offense? no. Brown>Wade

DB under achieved with talents teams. And over achieved with some less talented teams... DB had very poor offensive concepts/in game offense. His teams did play defense and rebound.
DB got lazy recruiting and squandered Shaq. And then the 1990’s after Shaq were really bad.
