Its the same dam problem big Les puts us in every year. Very few young kids get any playing time. Thank god Jenning did a great job.Les should be slap for putting him in that position. He had plenty of chance's to play Jenning

Neither Bain or Gilmore will see significant time barring injuries. They are recruiting misses.

They haven't even been in the program a full year. You're awful.

I hope this is not accurate. Considering how ineffective our DTs were this season, the fact that neither Bain nor Gilmore were able to break into the rotation is definitely cause for concern.

It has been attributed to our coaches that they use "3 and done" as a recuiting pitch, but it does not appear that they have prepared well for the early departures. If our DTs leave after three years, we cannot afford many recruiting misses at the position.

In 2001 our backup had ZERO game experience when Rohan got hurt and he had to fill the role in the SECCG

No shite, the early departures started a year ago. How is anyone supposed to be prepared for that?

If you sell recruits on 3 and done, which has been said of our coaches, then they had better be prepared for early departures.

They have t played a down yet but are misses?? Ok? These boys could come back next year and go all Brockers/Logan you have no clue what they will do! I believe both of our DTs need another year though! They are not ready for nfl plain and simple and les needs to be honest with them both! What's the point in leaving then not making a roster? If they come back I think our D makes a huge step forward and it will fix our depth problem! Then go out and recruit the best JC and HS guys we can for 2015!! That way if they are misses oh well. We need to go full out for the best of the best next year!! Spend that damn money on nation wide recruiting for at least next year or 2 and put us in a great position! Then the LSU name and team can speak for it's self!

He had some very good plays.

Which has not been said until 9 underclassman went pro last year, which is once again - something you can't know about 3 years ago.

Use a little common sense here.

You don't know that. It's much more likely that a young kid can come and contribute at WR, RB or DB. It's more difficult for someone in the trenches to come in and mix it up with guys who have been in an elite strength and conditioning program for years.

There are guys that can do it, but they're less common than impact guys at skill positions.

You're an impressive poster. I was looking at your post history and this was your last two posts, prior to this gem.

Auburn will likely be better next year...Bama likely worse. Decent chance auburn beats Bama again for west in 2014. How will Saban handle being second fiddle?

Bama will be great next year...likely better than Auburn...but, losing like that is hard to overcome. If anyone can though, it's Nick Saban.

This is what Mike Detillier had to say in Dandy Don's (Scott's) interview:
quote:

Scott: Where do you want to see the biggest upgrade on Defense? Mike: Defensive line play. You got all those young puppies and someone and somebody has to step up their play. This team is known for their D-line play and that has to be the biggest worry. Especially in the interior. J. Rasco and Danielle Hunter played much better from a pressure standpoint later in the year. Right now all those kids they signed this year have virtually nothing, or nothing at all, on the football resume.

Do you have evidence for that? Because, if true, that spells disaster for the next two years.
