That’s where I’m at. This team since the season started has acted like it’s easy to do what LSU did last year. They need to be taught that you have to put in the work by guys who have done it before. If Arik doesn’t want to be a part of that, it will be unfortunate but this issue is cancerous and bigger than one player.
Yep. If we have to lose arik gilbert to get this under control and get these kids heads out their asses so be it. It’s unfortunate but it is what it is now.

We said it all year this team is soft. Need Big Cat drill 3 times a day

That’s called PLAYING FOOTBALL
Just giving my 2 cents, I feel like if the kid is close to bitching out, giving him shite isn't gonna make him stay. Maybe they know he's gone and are just shite talking him as he's walking out the door
I'm not disagreeing with y'all being mad bc I would be too if I was in your shoes

This is a symptom of a larger problem that has been going on all year. The softness must be called out now. If losing one TE is a casualty of that it is still worth it, talented as he may be. He wouldn’t have felt like it was ok to tell coaches he was opting out because his shoulder hurts if the culture of the team wasn’t completely messed up. Has to be fixed ASAP.

ah I see, he's calling out the culture more so than the player. I was just giving my uninformed opinion, carry on

but obviously he didn’t foresee this.
I'm not sure how he didn't
You’d think, but my biggest general criticism of O is that he lacks foresight a lot. Quick to admit mistakes and correct them, but not proactive enough to prevent from making them in the 1st place.

Not sure why so many people are sucking him off. Even O.
If we lose him to another SEC team he's going to be a superstar for someone else and make us look like clowns for letting him leave

In a bad way, they need a DW40

I absolutely hope AG stays but is was obvious from game 1 he wasn't into blocking. Even WR need to block although I can see why he wants to change positions. Guess he wasn't required to block big boys at Marietta high.

yeah well....there are reasons for that

Obviously. And I know I wasn’t offering some poignant insight with that take.

Exactly, We could say all we want about the previous teams.. but toughness and fight was never lacking. We need that guy to set the tone, if we can’t get it from the locker room.. get it from someone they all respect
