I said if he doesn’t improve. We were a hair away from dropping 3 games because of his completely unforced mistakes and unjustified bad decisions. I’m not talking “you missed an open man and ran for it instead” type decisions. I’m talking “you did a Max Johnson impression for no reason” type decisions.
You actually didn’t answer my question though. Who else do you want to put in? We can’t just blindly replace him.
Before the A&M game Nuss had the highest Total QB Rating in the SEC. He also has had no running game whatsoever to help him this season.
Do you want to replace him with a totally unproven redshirt sophomore, a totally redshirt freshman, a transfer from Vanderbilt who knew he wouldn’t play this year at Vandy, or the true freshman coming in right out of high school in this class? That’s our only choices right now.

Nuss has a lot of areas to work on. He can come back and make a big leap next year. I don’t think he’s consistent enough yet to be a NFL starter.

Nuss is 2nd in the SEC in passing.
No freshman coming in will start over him next year. He’ll come back next year to refine his game. Yes he’s made some bad reads & forced some throws, that’s correctable. If we had a running game, we would be undefeated. He’s smart—
Nuss will get better & better.

He isn’t breaking in 2 brand new offensive tackles. He is gone

His decision to come back or not will not hinge on who will be at lsu, it will be how high he could potentially be drafted

So he's coming back.

Yea. I do. We just got our arse kicked by a freshman who got put in for an upperclassman.

He will be running for his life next year. It will affect his draft status if he has no time to throw. Constant pressure affects any QB and especially one who doesn’t like to run like Nuss. I’d bet he leaves and this will be a factor. Not a major factor, but definitely a factor. The O line will be poor next year. His value will only go down next year.

This is why I really hope someone beats him out and he transfers because of it.
I think he’s a bad QB but I don’t want him to miss out on a good NFL career because of a weak OL.

Nah—not in your wildest dreams!

What are you people smoking? Have you watched some of the quarterbacks starting at P4 programs?

Then you know nothing about nothing!

Yeah but see Arch Manning for example. The Florida qb. There are some who sit.

If Nuss is QB3, I wouldn't come back.

Beginning of the season, it seemed like a foregone conclusion that he would 1 and done based on how he started off. However, a lot of people here were speculating that maybe he’d stay after the A&M game. I was hoping a 3 pick game would at least cool off the draft hype so he could come back and improve next year (think Joe and Jayden year 1 to year 2 jumps)
What if he does go to the draft and Rickie Collins stays and blows up big... This board will go bizerk.

No way Underwood as the #1 recruit in the nation is coming to sit the bench year one
