If only Pedro's Tacos was still open across the street. She would have had a gastronomical experience only meant for the Gods.

Don't disparage the Wienerschnitzel...that chili dog and fries special was the bomb at 2:00 a.m. back in the early 90's

If she buys a single meal on her own, we are doing this wrong. Dick Vitale can eat a bag of dicks. We are hospitable people.

I know it's not close to Campus, but French Market Bistro is one of the better restaurants in the BR area.

In addition to one or two elegant restaurants, she needs to experience the Chimes and Louies. When I lived in BR years ago I took those places for granted. I'm always blown away by Louies' hashbrowns (usually as a side with a BEST sandwich) and some dish at Chimes which was basically fried fist topped with crawfish etouffee. Trust me, those dishes blow you away when you are coming from the Midwest, or in her case the Mid-Atlantic.

Probably are related as Doe’s eat place is known for giant steaks and tamales. The original is a small house in Greenville Mississippi and they have locations in Monroe, Little Rock and Baton Rouge that I know of
