He doesn’t ru he just sits in his mother’s basement, in his 20s, chastises every loss, hollers at his mom for a hot pocket when he’s thru gaming. It doesn’t matter whether you enjoy the sport or not we have the juice to hire and play top Women’s Bball and no one makes a PROFIT in any women’s program, UConn, Tennessee, South Carolina none make a profit but you can generate enough revenue to pay a good Coach if you win.

In 2007 LSU women’s BB attendance averaged 5500.
In 2018 LSU women’s BB attendance average 2100.
In 2018 LSU women’s BB was the most deficient of all sports , losing a net of over 4 million. So what you are saying is that you rather lose 4 million a year than break even or lose less than a million. Typical Tiger Rant logic.
In 2007, WBB expenses were $2M, and revenue was $500K. In 2018, WBB expenses were $4M, and revenue was $100K. Expenses grew by $2M, and revenue dropped by $400K. None of this is adjusted for current value, either.
The lesson from this is that the way to make WBB work financially is to control expenses, not try to grow revenue. And by far the main discretionary expense that has exploded since 2007 is the head coach's salary.

No. Not another retread. Fortner is 62. That move would be Van Chancellor 2.0. The program needs fresh, young blood.

They need someone who can recruit well and has a good offensive mind. Talent has drained up over the years.

I'm good with that. Who cares if WBB loses money. It is going to lose money anyway so we might as well will games in the process. Hire Nell Fortner as head coach and Tameka Johnson, who just won a state championship at Curtis, as the assistant.

With the right coach Women's basketball could draw a lot more and not be such a strain on the athletic budget
At least gymnastics is carrying it's weight and beach volleyball draws more fans than womens hoops

The program has fallen into such disrepair we pretty much need to give an unproven commodity a chance and hope we roll sevens.
I think it’s inevitable that Scott is going to let Nikki’s contract run out and not renew it, so we’re stuck treading water one more season.
In Spring 2022, hire Temeka Johnson as head coach. I bet she brings energy to the program and turns it around. I also believe being an alumna of Bonnabel and LSU, she recruits lights-out in Louisiana, especially NOLA.
