Jimbo is a good coach but he is not worth 7+ million a year. That has become increasingly apparent over the last 3 years. So for that reason I'm glad that didn't work out.

Replace the name “Jimbo” with any person not named Nick Saban or Urban Meyer and this is still a true statement.

So how much do you pay to get a coach that is not a guy that literally no one else was going to hire?

Reality

For O to reach Jimbo and Miles level he needs to win a conference and national title

Stop with the dumbass comparisons using 7 games to define someones career

I wouldn't spend that money but would O be worth a 12 million dollar buyout?

That would make Jumbo's buyout 28 million.

I dont mind spending the money if the coach has had proven success and has shown he can sustain it

The reality is there is only one Saban, I don't think there really are many or any coaches that will beat him consistently. They might be competitive but its Saban

A lot of good coaches in CFB just not quite Saban.

I haven't paid attention much to FSU. Did they lose to someone the caliber of Troy?

Idk why the rant is defending jimbo, even Les never had a season this bad. Jury is still out on O but I think we dodged a bullet by not getting Jimbo.

This right here is probably the main reason we have Oeaux for 4 years.

because injuries and youth was apparently an acceptable excuse to lose to Troy and get anally abused by Mississippi State when O did it, but for some reason it's not acceptable when a coach with a much more impressive resume does it against a much tougher schedule.

That and it's agenda driven.

Jimbo is having a terrible season, and it extends beyond just losing Francois, but Jimbo's resume is borderline historic.

The irony flows fully with those that point to FSU's dismal season while ignoring LSU lost to Troy. Gold, Jerry, Gold.

Why? Did Troy and Ms State not beat LSU?
It’s not like O is going 11-1 with only a loss to Saban.

Alabama, Miami, and NC State aren't bad teams

take off the homer glasses

BC is a very bad loss absolutely

Beside Auburn and maybe Florida (might be stretching it) LSU hasn't played a schedule near that

Yes, BC loss is terrible. Goes along with their season.

But to say their schedule is nothing special is presumptuous. They lost to Bama, Miami and NCST whom have a combined one loss on the season and are all in the current playoff discussion.

I see a lot of excuses being made in this thread for Fisher and the same people making these excuses would be calling for his head if he were losing like that over here.

You are trying too hard to prove that you are sharp as a marble. Just so you know, you are very close to it.

Ah, yes, the worst of the bunch.

Agreed. Jimbo would be out to dry right now by this retarded fanbase. Half of you idiots wanted to fire Saban in 2000 and 2001 and 2002 and 2003 and 2004. It's cuz you stupid.

Jimbo is a very good CFB HC as his resume has shown. He's having a terrible season and needs to right the ship. Just like half the fanbase mock Patterson and pointed to a down year yet embrace CEO unwavingly.
