He'll be the 2nd RB.

Yep, most likely LSU will have 4-5 RB's split 2,000-2,500 yards

In case that was sarcasm, i'll clarify

-This year it'll be Murphy Ford and Ridley
-Next year Ridley and Ford, maybe Ware
-Year after, Ford maybe the every down back depending on how effective Gore and Ware are

Then throw in wild cards of RB recruits coming in

we haven't had a 200 yard rusher since 2004 if I recall correctly. Broussard vs. Ole Miss.

Like I said I am very high on Ford.
Under Crowton we have produced 2, 1000 yard rushers in his 3 years at LSU.

at worst. to start the season. I look for ford to be #1 UNLESS Miles does the seniority thing.

If he gets 1/4th of the plays devoted to him then well over 900

Murphy has been a spring game superstar so far.

Not sure there will be a "the guy" this year, barring a lot of injuries. I see a muddled field of running back by committee.

Hes also got that #18 so I have a feeling Miles intends on giving him the rock (I hope).

Ford- 600 yds (will be the best back)
Ridley- 500 yds (will start most of year)
Murphy- 250 rush, 200 rec

If that's for 12 games I hope Shep averages like 80 ypg at least.

2010- Ridley/Murphy..Ford will get a few touches a game in certain areas, has big play potential

2011-Ridley/Ford..Ware will get a few touches a game, but Ford will get most

2012-Ford/Ware/Hilliard---these boys will all be beast and split carries evenly with Ford getting the bulk

I believe LSU will have one of its best rushing seasons in a very long time, but it won't be accomplished by just one or two guys.

There will likely be 4 or 5 guys who have strong rushing performances throughout the year, but none of them will hit the 900 yard mark.

Under Crowton LSU has had 2 players produce 1000 yard seasons (Hester 07, Scott 08) last season due to largely ineffective offense, offensive line, running back, QB, and other issues it did not happen.
I think LSU will find 1 running back to become that feature back and get the bulk of the carries like Scott did in 08 and like Hester did in 07.

How can you split carries evenly but at the same time 1 guy getting the bulk?
Just giving you a hard time tiger'brah'
