He hasn’t avoided anything. He chose not to stand for the anthem.
When asked about it, he’s too scared to discuss why.

At least Kap had the balls to discuss his beliefs and not pull this passive aggressive protest that LF is doing.

If he doesn't want to get into it he doesn't have to get into it. I get where he is coming from. Hard to show respect for what the flag has come to represent with a goober like Trump in office and the rich getting richer by way of theft while at the same time a large chunk of America sit on their arse collecting social security disability for bull shite reasons and people collect these huge earned income credits to barely work while the working man in the middle gets the shaft.

Leonard, once you decide to make a statement, you may want to get in to it. That is kind of the point. The inability of folks to ‘get in to it’ is making their actions look weak and silly

Are we gonna get the “anthem report” every week?

I think he's decided to enjoy his millions in the nation that provided him the opportunity to be paid them.

Why not discuss it? What’s a protest without an explanation?

Staying inside and kneeling is no different. He’s just too scared to go against the wishes of his employer.

Are any of these guys really known for their thinking skills ? I wouldn’t give any of them any press on any thought. They’re all interchangeable parts and the point spread makes all corrections.

He probably has no idea what he’s doing that for.

I wonder how many of these players think they are protesting Trump.

By the way - I have a code of conduct policy at my job. If I violate it, I’ll be terminated. Why isn’t anyone raising arms about my rights? Protest on your own time. It’s not the NFL’s responsibility to give you a platform.

LF is really making a difference for his beliefs

Correct, and it's wise not to do so.

Who cares?!?

The less attention you give to it, the less it’ll mean to either party.

Yep. The owners of these guys allow it. They could stop it but the crops are producing lots of money so they don't.

Why don't more people just do what I did years ago and stop supporting the NFL? When it significantly impacts the bottom line, it will stop.

In the meantime live and let live. If you don't like it then don't support it

True, he might be protesting the endangered penguins in Antartica.

What has happened is that now, players will use this to protest anything they want. Politics have entered sports and there is probably no turning back. It pisses me off because I use to use sports to get away from politics. This is the main reason I don't like it. This also drives people and fans away.

The biggest problem with protesting by athletes is that the fan base is basically split on political views, so any form of protest will divide the fan base and you will lose supporters...which is what we are seeing.

The media has blown this up into such a shite show, that the athletes can’t win either way. If they kneel they are unappreciative aholes, and if they don’t theyre accused of selling out their friends and family. Most probably just want this to go away so they aren’t under a microscope to choose a political side before every game.

The only ones who like it are the ones who keep making a big deal about it- the liberal media. Because they love the controversy it creates.

And? Your point is?

Why do you care?
Do you care if I stand or not? Then why do you care what they do?
