Brandon Harris had a good sense of humor about himself. I remember when Tom Brady announced he was going to the Bucs and LF7 tweeted out something along the lines of “Finally I have a real quarterback” and Brandon Harris replied something like “Damn really bro that’s fricked up”

I saw him play in high-school and few times. Strong arm but no touch or accuracy. Another we can teach that. How often has that worked?

I only had one complaint about Mett. He would hold the ball forever and just take an absolute beating. I don’t know what QB’s call that internal clock that tells them it’s time to get rid of the ball, but Mett didn’t have one at all. Throw on top of that Mett ran like he had concrete shoes. Zero mobility and athleticism. He was a statue.

Brandon "U Smart" Harris. Les refused to bench him long after it was clear he was not an SEC caliber QB. It took LSU fans booing Harris in unison in Tiger Stadium during the 2016 Jacksonville State game for Les to finally bench Harris. Etling came in and the offense immediately improved. And it's not like Etling was an All American.
Blame Harris for being bad, which he was, but blame Les more for mis-evaluating and poorly recruiting the QB position at LSU for multiple seasons.

Brandon Harris was a spitting replica of Jordan Jefferson albeit a bit thinner. A QB that threw the ball unnecessarily hard, very inaccurate, and had some scramble ability.

Whenever you have an elite offense, the Defense starts to slack up for 2 reasons imo: 1, they think they don't have to try as hard with more points like 2019 did; 2, the offense gets off the field faster leaving more time for opponent to get more drives in.

Don't know why this is downvoted. Mett should have been the starting QB after it was clear others couldn't pass.

I know someone that played with him in HS, and said they were very surprised he was rated top 50 in country

Their 2013 replacements were pretty inexperienced and depth wasn't there. Couple that with some "interesting" personnel decisions by Chavis (see the LBs), and we had a subpar defense.

You sound jealous. He was a terrible qb at lsu, but it appears that he is very good at what he does at Texas.
