It's not just Saban's staff anymore. The winning is a gigantic recruiting tool. That's the only thing LSU has been missing. Start beating Bama, winning the West, plus a couple national championships, and I guarantee we start pulling in #1 classes.

I'm sure there have been a few, but Les has done well for himself with the staff he has.

No. Bama's recruiting staff isn't better. Their product on the field is though.

I would go with this... you start beating alabama every year it makes it easier to recruit against them..

I would disagree. I would think by now, saban and Jimbo are better recruiters than they were at LSU. No one wants Dooley now, and not sure how good muschamp really is because he's been at recruiting juggernauts like LSU, UT and UF.

You could say that about a lot of coaches. And if you do go by recruiting rankings, bama should never lose.

Only two active coaches with more titles than Miles. Meyer and Saban. Pretty good company if you ask me and both those coaches lose with a shite ton of NFL talent.

What does that have to do with them at lsu?

As a head coach no. He was recruiting co.
Say what you want but facts prove that staff pulled in classes not seen at lsu in a while

Are you comparing Saban's and Meyer's W-L record the last 5 years to Miles'?

Lsu is second to only bama in wins in the sec in the last 5 years.
Please dont compare Ohio State's schedule to ours.

Plus, they never should have gotten a shot at one of those championships. We all know that few other programs would have gotten the Mulligan that Bama did.

LSU got a much bigger Mulligan in 2007 than Bama did in 2011. Both teams deserved to be in those title games, because LSU was clearly the second best team in 2007, and Bama was clearly the second best team in 2011. And both proved it on the field in the game.

I feel MUCH better now. So next year if we lose another humiliating 3 SEC games in a row I can sleep well knowing we came in second in each of the games as well as the SEC overall too.

Can I compare ours to Alabama's? Is that a legit one?

Who are these programs that arent considered worse than bama? I dont know if youve realized that bama is on an unheard of run. Every single program in cfb takes a back seat to bama.

God i hate our ignorant fans. So we lose 3 games in row one time throughout Miles' entire tenure and now its gonna be a trend? We basically had a 10 win season with a bunch of sophomores while playing in the hardest division in cfb.

I got plenty of perspective. The last 5 years we've been NFL U, we haven't accomplished anything except getting our arse handed to us in the National Championship game.

Some of you guys need to get real. History is the best indicator of the future.

Hopefully I'm wrong. But all this sunshine pumping based on so little actual substance is laughable.

So in a nutshell bama is recruiting better.

Ole miss beat them 2 straight years and what's that gotten them? Yes, their class this year is very good, but this board is convinced Freeze and company are cheating

Our current staff is very good, but I want to wait for them to recruit an entire recruiting cycle before crowning their arse

Don't know about that.

Bama's is pretty good.

As far as greatest recruiting staff EVER?, I'd slow down there just a second. You're talking about outdoing Osbourne's staff, Bryants, Switzer's, Stoops, Supurier's, Ara's, Bo Schembechlers, Jimmy Johnson's, Lou Holtz's,

It might be pretty good but let's tap it just a little on best ever. You must be doing the LSU thing....in your lifetime or since 2000.... Football's been played a long time with some great dynasty's. We'll see if LSU creates a dynasty with these guys then we'll put them in the discussion.

saban's staff will always be better, even if individually they aren't as good at recruiting as the LSU staff. Each one of them represent saban, and that is the trump card.

I don't know if LSUs is the best ever, but they have to be pretty damn good to convince the number 2 class to sign after 5/6 straight losses to Bama and 3, 3+ loss seasons. That seems a little tougher task to me than signing the #1 class with 2 SEC west championships and a National Championship in the past 3 years.
