For Aranda, not sure I ever saw the in game adjustments, but it always seemed like he figured the other team out in the week leading up to the game.
Aranda was great at in game adjustments. The defense always played much better in the second half. What are you even talking about?

We have never had a DC that makes in-game adjustments and keeps the other team's offense from getting comfortable like House
Guess you didn’t tune into the NCG where he only allowed 8 points in the second half and totally shut down the #1 pick in last years draft.

I think House does an amazing job dissecting what the offense is doing in the first half, coming up with a plan to stop it and communicating that plan to his team during halftime in order to shut it down.

Agree. Put Aranda's pre-game and House's halftime adjustments together and you would have one amazing DC.

House without a doubt. Aranda was the most overpaid and overrated DC we ever had. Never did his D ever get that one Big stop needed to win games. Damn near every time his D didn’t get stops and either we needed to recover an onside kick or have the offense Salt the game away.

His unique approach to things is impressive but I don’t think he’d say he was done with it
Mad scientist thing going on … Doc House

Neither was/is their talent. Devin White, Chaisson, Greedy, Delpit, Queen, Phillips, Fulton, Lawrence. Aranda was playing with a stacked deck. We have talent on our team, but not like those guys.
What was the d line like? Probably thin for most his years here if I remember correctly and still is.
House may turn out to be better but I don’t get this revisionist history that Aranda underachieved.

Lol back to back goal line stands vs Texas just off the top of my head. Completely shut down UGA In the SEC title game, completely shut down Jalen Hurts twice, held Trevor Lawrence and Clemson to one score in the second half of the natty, had multiple big stops vs Florida in 2019 to get separation in that game, held #2 UGA to 2 scores in 2018, #22 State to 3 points in 2018, held Bama to the second fewest points (10) of the Nick Saban era. The only game Bama has scored fewer points was the 9-6 loss to LSU in 2011. But yea totally overrated lmao.

I like houses defensive scheme better.

love what House and a doing here. But until we win it all Dave has a leg up.
This defense is AT LEAST as good as 2019 with less secondary talent. We won an NC because we had the best offense in the history of college football.

House, he finds a way to close games with the defense that is a little less talented that what we saw under Aranda. Hopefully, House stays with us for years to come and is content in being a DC.

Our fans are easily the dumbest in the country.

Hot take here
He was elite at this.
Wow that was a hot take, I meant that never really saw a big difference in how they play first half to second half because of how good their game plan was going into the game. couple that with small adjustments after each series, I just never really noticed a game where a team scored 17 in the first half and then our defense completely locked them down.

House or Aranda?
House has done more w/ less IMO. Aranda had the luxury of being able to "go generic" several games, especially in '19.
House had no MOE in his gameplanning.
But both are excellent.

Nice back track there bub. Take the L.

You guys forget we had 7 starters who were injured during the 2019 season. Delpit was never healthy, Lawrence was never healthy, Fulton played basically on 1 leg for half the season, Stingley was hurt for 4 games, divinity was hurt and suspended, Chaisson wasn’t healthy until after thanksgiving, Ferrell and Logan were in and out of the lineup all year, Vincent got hurt and missed games. Once the team got the post season break and healed up just a bit we shut down 3 top 4 teams in a row on our way to winning the national title.

It’s amazing how narratives are created here. House gives up 31 points to Alabama and he’s a genius mastermind. Aranda gives up 10 to a better Bama team and he’s overrated and overpaid. Take their last 3 top 10 opponents at LSU, House gives up an average of 30.3ppg, Aranda 21ppg, vs much better teams btw but House is not only better than Aranda, Aranda sucks. Classic Rant logic.
